??????
Who the hell do they think they are?

Who do you think? This is their MO. Meh. They'll be ignored or a mass of fans will hear about it and beat them down.

I'd love to see a bunch of people rock up with Super-Soakers filled with a different dye solution each and blast those fuckers making a rainbow spectacle out of them. If they happened to be arrested for it, they could simply make a statement that they "have the right to protest" just like these WBC goons. Or at least those are my non-violent thoughts. There is part of me that would love to see a steamroller involved, but those things can never move fast enough.
Anyway, truly tragic. Heath was one of those actors who had only just begun. :(

I feel sad - A Knight's Tale is one of my most favourite films. I've seen it at least a dozen times and it's always one I choose when I need a lift and a laugh. Not just for him, but all the actors were great I thought. (
http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,325208,00.html) This interview with Jack Nicholson sheds a little light on the sleeping pills involved though it's a somewhat confused report I thought. Anyway, it seems he had a couple of prescription sleeping drugs and over the counter ones and an antihistamine as well. Combination of those probably not good when you're exhausted and can't remember what you've already taken.
They seem to be heading towards accidental death at the moment anyway.

That just looks like Jack speculating. That report makes little sense anyway - "I warned him" doesn't match with " I also did not know Mr. Ledger.”
And it's not a sequel Jack.

Exactly. But what can you expect from Jack Nicholson except confusion. Still, I don't know this brand Ambien. I mean, you're warned not to drive taking sleeping pills anyway but is this a particularly dodgy type?
As a never-taken-a-sleeping-pill person so don't know about them, I just read a little about it. Although I have no idea if Heath Ledger was taking this particular variety but this quote on side effects from the makers, I thought was quite interesting: 'Sleepwalking, and eating or driving while not fully awake, with amnesia for the event, have been reported.' They don't seem particularly different from the warnings about any sleeping pill, apart from that bit.
If, as some reports have suggested, he was taking a pill, sleeping for only an hour or so and waking and taking another or two or whatever then it may well be possible he didn't remember taking any. No doubt we will know more in due course.
LOL - Just happened to see a video of Jack Nicholson talking about warning people about taking Ambien. What he was really trying to say was that he warns 'people' in general so kind of considers he warned Ledger in general even if he didn't know the quy. Still - you take a sleeping pill and then you get up for an emergency - why is he surprised he nearly drove off a cliff. Ah well.

Ha ha. Ambien, or zolpidem to call by it's chemical name, is a
hypnotic sedative. There are much milder sleeping pills, much, much milder. This stuff is not to be mixed with driving or drinking alcohol tbh, and with litigation in the US what it is I'm sure the box and the prescriber make this very, very clear. Nicholson is hilarious. "I'm warning people about a litre of cider before attempting fine arc welding".
Sadly, I'll wager that this drug has certainly contributed to Heath's death. Man, Batman is going to suck because I just know he'll be really good in it and that will make this all the more sad. I wanted to enjoy that film, not be saddened by the eulogy of it :(

I'm not gonna pretend I liked everything Ledger. He annoyed me at first, acting badly in crappy films, then gradually acted better in better films and at one point had me reevaulate my stance, and almost like him a bit. But then again, I didn't like Johnny Depp or Brad Pitt at first either, until they made some good movies.
Now, I feel a bit surprised, and slightly cheated out of an actor who might have actually been going somewhere. A bit like Brandon Lee, as some people said, but in a quite different way. But not at all like James Dean.
OTOH, from what I've read of his sleeping problems, I can relate. But I can also count. It's hard to confuse one pill with twentyseven.
