What do you miss most?
As silly as it sounds, I crave the sound of "Halt! Halt!" every time I commit a misdemeanour. Also, the ability to bash down doors using brute strength (lockpicks are for wusses :cheeky: )
Horses.
Sexy slinky female clothing/armor that actually hugs your figure instead of looking tent like and androgynous.
Good looking High Elves.
The extremely atmospheric music you get in towns at night.
A few really imaginative, genuinely tense quests with unexpected confrontations, like the rare Slayer quest and the one where you have to deliver a book for a Royal while being harried by Daedra. You get the chance to make a deal with them and give them the book.
Anyone else?

How about the time when I had to run for three hours accross randomized, empty terrain.
That kicked butt.

I miss the snowfall (especially at night :) ). I know that Bloodmoon has snow, but somehow the sounds associated it fall short of creating the sensation of snowfall. In Daggerfall, I loved the sound of the snow crunching under my boot as I walked. But still more important was the calm and quiet that seemed to settle over the landscape. When I am outside in the snow during the winter, the snow absorbs sound in a particular way. Daggerfall succeeding in simulating that experience in the way that it managed the sounds in the game.

LOL, yeah that's something I suspect none of us miss, but Fast Travel was a blessing. Walking to your destination in Morrowind is a positive pleasure, even after 2 years of playing.
Cyrano: I know what you mean about the snow. There was a sort of muffled effect.

Here’s one for both of us, Jordy: (
http://www.euro-rpg.com/index.php?section=plugin&code=05&id=5405) Zenogias Drifting Eastward (it will be
our song) :sly: It's a collection of Daggerfall music files, mostly with a wintry feel about them. There is a brief description of the selections available before you have to download. Zenogias released a early music pack of Daggerfall music (perhaps some nighttime themes :) ), that can be downloaded from the same site. A short search should locate it for you if you are interested.

Hey Jordana. Did you know that they are trying to rebuild Daggerfall, again. ;)
If your interested check at (
www.dfworkshop.net) for the monsters demo and the collision demo. And of course you and anyone interested are welcome to register in the forum and bring sugestions or simply tell them what you enjoyed most on Daggerfall.
I think someone in the Elderscrolls Past Games forum is considering creating a forum for old Daggerfall aficionados like us. ;) This could be a great idea.

Nostalgia?
I still play it! I'm still trying to complete the main quest, however I fear my character is bugged right now... its been more than 24 hrs in Werewolf Form and I still have my claws, and when I try to revert to Human via the spell the game crashes each time!
I haven't gone too far, just completed a side quest and the first two quests regarding Morgana and the King of Worms. So I'm might just start over.
Cloaks are something I miss in Morrowind though. The reading material is about the same minus the Biography of Barenziah ;)
Still wanna play DF let me know I'll help if I can.

Thanks for the linkage, guys  I'll definitely have a look at those, although download times will probably be laughable *curses dialup* Oh well, I can always go and watch a film while I'm waiting :)
Hey zingbat....I heard about one Daggerfall rebuilding project which folded due to lack of people working on it, it's great to know there's another in progress!
I still have a copy of DF in very good condition, just haven't got round to getting it running under XP yet. I take it off the shelf and stroke it lovingly from time to time though....it was my first proper game (as opposed to stuff like Pacman and Frogger) and my first ever RPG :D

I have never played Daggerfall but I miss it already. Shh...I am not a pervert, I just like the female form and MW does not give it any justice.
