One thing I'd like to clarify here is I'm not an advocate for any of the theories presented in <u>The DaVinci Code</U>, or the books he drew from as a source. My main point was the book handled the matter in a way that screamed nonfiction to such a degree that hiding behind the fiction excuse is a pretty nutless endeavor for those involved.

I think that it is important that Brown claims his fictional pieces as fact because people are a more stupider than you think!

I haven't read the book. There was a time when I considered it just to see what all the fuss was about, but the hype machine for the movie and the whole damn spectacle in general has put me off for life. I always thought Da Vinci was just a poor man's Michelangelo, anyway.
