I don't go to Commchat much anymore, though the few times I've poked my head in there over the last year or so it's seemed pretty dead, no conversations, no nothing. A far cry from the wild and crazy days I seem to recall years ago. Oh well.
I think part of the problem with TTLG is that a lot of the quality, larger-than-life members have left over the years, leaving behind a void in their wake. I'm not really sure I want to look back on the "good old days" though, as I seem to recall I spent most of my early years on here getting into nonsensical fights with people with names like "The Potted Plant" and engaging in a dubious love/hate relationship with a drunken, foul-mouthed lout from the United Kingdom (no, I'm not bitter, not at all). On the other hand, it's nice to see that my second thread ever in Thief Gen has been preserved as one of the all-time greats (my first ever thread there, IIRC, was one complaining about how the servants In Thief 2 weren't wearing headgear like they had in the first game. I don't think it got any replies).
