I was watching Channel 8 news last night. They talked about how a frog found in Australia may be the cure for HIV all the test done so far have killed the HIV virus but the frog is in danger of extinction due to a fungus called chytrid. I tried to find that story but this is all I could find

For some reason, it's hard to be surprised, the creautre that could save many, is on the brink of extinction, go figure, it's just humanity's luck huh?

Interesting that after reading all the articles I see that the frog is NOT in danger of extinction. They just mention the general idea that the destruction of rain forests around the world impacts amphibian populations, sometimes putting them in danger. One scientist claims that the particular frog is "being threatened by disease and disappearing habitat" - nothing official about near extinction, just scare words from an environmentalist botonist researcher. Now, I'm all for being somewhat green, but I also like truth and facts, not scare tactics.

All that interesting stuff about microbial warfare and a new way to possibly kill HIV all you came in to do was whine about that?
