I've been playing the beta over the past 3 days and here are my impressions.

Cars

Definitely handle better than in the first game. Just the right amount of powerboostin' and powerdriftin'.

Motorbikes

Decent. The first person view on the bikes are great though.

Planes

Pretty good! Handles pretty much like the ones in the GTAs.

Boats

When you're racing down a narrow canal it can be quite thrilling, but besides that? Eh. Then again, what videogame has ever managed to make boats exciting?

Gameplay

The ability to switch between vehicles at any moment is very fun. And just heading out to drive cross country is nice. The races are alright. I think there's definitely some rubberbanding going on tho.

Story

Graphics/Engine

It's not the prettiest game, but I do admire how quickly everything loads and how you can pause the game, zoom out from your current location on the map, and into anywhere else in the USA. It's Google Earth-esque and very seamless.

Am I gonna buy it on release?

Probably not. Deffo picking it up at some point tho.
