That video is definatly the slimiest of them all. How blantantly can you attack republicans? What a load of bullshit. While not an ad, I think Kerry calling our soldiers white trash outdoes them all.
I'm so sick of politics already and the race hasn't even begun, my god, they've taken away my freedom of sanity, where will it end?:(

Counted and then ignored. All that matters is which candidate got the plurality, and as long as the gap was larger than one vote yours did not change the outcome. That "sleeping better at night" point reminds me of Caplan's idea of (
http://www.gmu.edu/departments/economics/bcaplan/ratirnew.doc) rational irrationality.
Well, that was an interesting theory, rather wordy, but interesting. However, I still believe that there is a purpose in casting my vote. What if everyone just decided not to vote? Assuming rational irrationality, it wouldn't matter, even though NO ONE voted. The outcome of any decision made by the public at large is irrelevant because they do not have enough information to affect the outcome. I believe that is a flawed idea.

Think of it this way, if you use the right to vote, you earn the right to bitch.
Very close to what I meant. If you use the right to vote, you earn the right to have your ideas considered. If you don't vote, why would I listen to you complain about a process in which you do not find enough significance to participate?

The first amendment gives me that. Most people did not have the right to vote when it was first adopted. I won't go the (
http://blog.lewrockwell.com/lewrw/archives/004634.html) Galambos route and say "If you vote, don't complain" because complaining is everyone's right.
I agree, you have the right to complain; however, I have the right to disregard your opinions because you are not truly involved in the process. Now, if you could offer some idea that would revolutionize the whole political system, rather than just complaining about something so unimportant to you that you do not choose to participate in it, THEN I'll consider your opinion as worthwhile. That's the way I see it. Nothing personal, I just prefer input from people who are vested in the process.

lol yeah, I guess thats not really the best ad is it:p
*hides from RBJ
Sorry, having two brothers in the military and quite a few freinds made that quite insulting to me

Maybe they should have done better at their studies then!
pavlovscat on 5/11/2006 at 00:19
Yeah, but do they vote?
Seriously, I have a lot of respect for our soldiers no matter where they are risking thier lives. Kerry is predictably lame. If you're going to insult your countrymen, at least get the joke right. That way you only look insensitive, not insensitive & stupid.

Then you're a fucking idiot, because that's quite obviously not what he meant.
If you honestly believe that he was criticizing the troops like that, then I suppose you also believe that W wants to "put food on your family."
He misspoke. He's an idiot, a buffoon, and he totally butchered what he meant to say. But what he meant to say had absolutely nothing to do with insulting the troops.

Please read (
http://www.breitbart.com/news/2006/11/02/D8L542784.html) this and you will see that his past performance has shown his lack of respect for our soldiers. A direct quote from a past turncoat: "I am convinced a volunteer army would be an army of the poor and the black and the brown," Kerry wrote. So, not only does he feel that volunteer soldiers are stupid, but also poor & probably not white. If these are his public comments, I really don't want to know what he thinks in private about our troops.

I don't know where you get the idea he called them stupid from, but he's right that your army is made up of the underprivileged and ethnic minorities, because they're the only ones desperate enough to do it.
You fucking people call for politicians to be more honest, and then slate them when they are. How about you turn your fire on George Bush who sent your country's soldiers out to die in their thousands so he could settle a personal score and his mates could earn a fast buck?
Or is it really that much easier to make idiotic comments about a decorated war hero who actually has half a fucking clue about the military?

At what point did he get his clue? Was that before he voted for the war or after he voted against the same war?
