Agreed. The movie left you feeling somewhat like the Director of the CIA. I don't know what the fuck just happened, but let's make not sure it happens again. It was funny, angry, violent, stupid, and very unfocussed.
Of course, I will forever quote Brad Pitt's immortal delivery of: I thought you might be worried ... about the security ... of your shit

I thought there was a lot of sadness in that film. I really enjoyed it and yes Pitt was very good. One thing I love about Coen bro movies - they are usually excellently cast. Frances McDormand was perfect and God did I hate her by the end of the film; she was so frustrating.
I'd agree that there seem to be almost 2 tiers in their film-making - big hitters which everyone is all uhhhhhhhh woowooow at and then films that don't quite get on the radar as much. The list at the end of this new trailer is nearly all the big hitters, but there are others not on there that are just fantastic imho.

The thing I didn't like the most about Burn After Reading was that
pretty much the only decent, likable character in the entire film gets killed for trying to help someone else out.
Other than that I rather enjoyed it.

The whole charm of Coen brothers is that they actually make interesting characters, which usually involves them being "unlikeable" in a way or another.
