Well just dear wife and I actually. We are of to the city of canals, culture and romance to celebrate our 30th wedding anniversary.
Back in a week with a shack full of photos, some of which i hope will be worth posting.

I had a high school math teacher who had been a crazy go everywhere travelling nutjob in his youth, and he told some rather nasty stories about Venice and how it reeked to high heavens of bilge water and was a filthy filthy city. Hope you have a good time and prove him wrong!

I went to Italy for my hols this year and my son and I went to Venice twice for day trips. The first time we took the scenic route around the Grand Canal and the second time we found a short cut bus. It was definitely a holiday we both remember our hols fondly and still babble on about it now. I'd love to go back to Italy..the food was to die for!:thumb:

Spent Thanksgiving with a guy involved in the water control projects around Venice. Man, what a disaster they've made of that whole hydrological system around there. He had some great things to say about the city itself, however. Congrats on being able to spend some time there.
