Living up to your username I see. But yeah, I can see Trump being the last stage of entropy.

I think the idiots doing the burning and violent protesting are fools and are
not helping the rest of us who want to, at the very least, try to minimize the damage Drumpf intends (see: (
http://www.npr.org/2016/11/09/501451368/here-is-what-donald-trump-wants-to-do-in-his-first-100-days) - specifically his intentions to further damage our environment by setting our environmental protection regulations/laws/bans back 50 years). We have to work within the (fucked-up) system though and behaving like a bunch of mindless animals isn't helping nor is it acceptable. Just as monsters running people over with cars because those monsters disagree with those victims' opinions/actions is unacceptable (I felt sick to my stomach when I saw that video - bad call, Vae).
But there are two sides to every coin, right? And frankly, the anti-Drumpf protesters don't worry me as much as the Drumpf supporters who've already been running amok because they believe they have the legal and moral right to do so. Or because they're just a bunch of rabid dogs who think they've just been given free passes to behave atrociously. (
http://www.cnn.com/2016/11/10/us/post-election-hate-crimes-and-fears-trnd/)
Do I protest Drumpf's election? Hell yeah! Do I think the presidential election results were legitimate? Well, according to the Constitution they were, sadly and sickeningly enough, even though those results (brought to us by the Electoral College) DO NOT represent the popular vote of U.S. citizens. I think the Electoral College has long since outlived its usefulness since it has once again failed to accurately represent the popular vote in each state, let alone the popular national vote. As with everything else, there are pros as well as cons to keeping the Electoral College, but I'm starting to believe the old (now resurrected) rumors that the E.C. votes are bought by the highest bidder. Another interesting read: (
http://www.factcheck.org/2008/02/the-reason-for-the-electoral-college/) What the fuck ever happened to 'by the people and for the people'? But there I go again, being all idealistic and naïve.
The last thing (and I stress the word 'thing') I wanted in the office of the POTUS was a racist, sexist, homophobic xenophobe. The more I read/hear what Drumpf intends to do (just in his first year of office), the more I hear/read about the ignorant racist, sexist, homophobic morons he plans to appoint to positions of power within our government, the more sick to my stomach I feel. Also, the DNC totally blew it when they favored Clinton over Sanders, imo. Though I have doubts that Sanders running against Drumpf would have made much of a difference to the Electoral College. I wonder if those members of the E.C. are sadists, masochists, or do they just want to watch America burn because they're mostly batshit crazy?
Do I accept Drumpf as POTUS? Do I have a choice? Like it or not, he will be our next POTUS come January. The thing is, while I respect the office of the POTUS, I DO NOT have to respect the man holding that office. And no one, absolutely NO ONE can force me to do so. Afaic, Drumpf has never, ever given me reasons to respect him. I honestly do not see that changing.

Bunch of people are unhappy and think Trump will destroy the place, so they throw a riot and destroy the place. Interesting.

Near indistinguishable from what one expects to see in some alt-right/neonazi subreddit. Local moderators appear to be really good at their job...

Spend a lot of time in nazi subreddits do you?

Never thought I was say "good one Vivian," but there you go.
Anyway Tocky:
The Republican party did absolutely nothing to stop Obama for eight years, hence the reaction of rejecting the traditional Republican type of candidate and turning to a political outsider. And no, Repub/conservatives do not brawl in the streets which is why they don't get their agendas accomplished.
Democrats see something they don't like, so they burn, loot, riot and kill until they get what they want. Republicans see something they don't like - they go home and complain on the internet. This is why Democrats always win. I'm just saying Republicans need to be rioting violently as well.
Tocky on 13/11/2016 at 16:51
Republicans need to be rioting? NOBODY needs to be rioting! Democrats haven't gotten what they wanted and republicans have obstructed for the last six years! What the devil are you talking about? The folks who brawl in the streets are the disenfranchised. Republicans are the very enfranchised. Why don't they brawl? Because they have most of what they want. Brawling might cause them to lose that. If you have nothing then you have nothing to lose.
The democrats have gotten Obamacare and Dodd-Frank. My affordable insurance will be gone now. Thanks a lot. And Dodd-Frank was bipartisan at the time because folks were scared of the big banks causing a world wide depression which damn near happened. IT CAN STILL HAPPEN IF DODD-FRANK IS REPEALED! Republicans think if we just give enough freedom and money to the ultra rich they will take care of the rest of us. The rich only care about themselves. THEY are the ones who sent our jobs overseas to begin with. Repeal the law that keeps the greedy in check? Let them do what they did before? How much of an idiot do you have to be?
Or do you mean those filthy brown people and gays having the same rights as the rest of us?
Krush on 13/11/2016 at 17:07
No, Democrats have gotten absolutely everything they wanted: Unlimited third-world immigration, gay marriage, transgender bathrooms, federal funding for abortions, government-controlled health care system, private small businesses forced to bake cakes for gay weddings, ran up trillions of dollars worth of debt and ensured an Iranian atomic bomb program.
The Republicans' "obstruction" consisted of the following:
A) Saying that the debt should be reduced and thus we should not raise the debt ceiling but should cut spending instead.
B) Obama goes on TV and tells people that we need to borrow more money to keep the government running.
C) Republicans grumble slightly, look at the ground and shuffle their feet.
D) Republicans vote to go ahead and raise the debt ceiling and borrow more money.
I cannot think of one single thing the Democrats wanted to do that was stopped by the Republicans, except that they blocked Merrick Garland for Supreme Court (thankfully).
I'm just saying that if these are the new rules (riot to get what you want), then both sides should play by the new rules.
Tocky on 13/11/2016 at 18:11
How old are you Krush? We had more illegal immigration under Bush. We've had to raise the debt ceiling under Bush. Some of what you said happened before the republicans got control of the house. A lot of what you said is debatable. We ENDED the Iranian atomic bomb program. First through a computer virus and then through legislation. Try listening to someone other than Rush Limbaugh once in a while. I listen to all sides and I urge you to do it. It will broaden your perspective.
Ha ha ha you think the debt is going to go down like it did the last year of Obama? Trump is giving the super wealthy 2/3 tax cuts and the middle 4% tax cuts and that will reduce the debt? More money to the military will reduce the debt? Ha ha ha. Oh but I know, welfare must be cut right? Those leeches. No net to catch the poor. Check out how much of the budget goes to welfare and how much to the military now. All you have to do is google it.
As for folks getting hurt you have your wish. A right winger got out of his car and shot a protester. Happy now?

Plus, there's no federal funding for abortions, nor any government controlled healthcare. The former is illegal in all but very specific circumstances, per the Hyde Amendment, and the latter isn't government controlled healthcare, rather healthcare as a tax, provided to private insurance enterprises.
