Capitalism is obviously more successful than relying on everyone sharing honestly. But there are also economic (
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Social_dilemma) sectors where capitalism doesn't work at all.
A mixture of both systems can solve these.

Religion (in general) is number one. Capitalism is number two.

There are many different alternative ways that you can organize society than simply "sharing all our goods equally amongst the masses". Unfortunately the right will always scare people with the same nonsense: "the commies will take away what little you have ! Let us 1% have 50% of everything, or else you might lose your zero percent of nothing".
And the left is worse. They haven't come up with an original idea on how to make the world more fair in decades. They either still repeat the ideas of Marx that are 170 years old. Or they are only interested in things that are totally unrelated to the Struggle of the Proletariat.
So sad.
