Ok, I've gotten myself in to the vault, now what? (I can't read the objectives, remember?)

Great mission ! Definitely the best T3 FM so far :thumb:
I can only find three special loot items - the Lucky Coin and the two Cat statues - anyone know where the fourth one is?
Also, is there any way to unlock the barred gates - the one in Water Street and the ones north of Taft Avenue?

Dammit, now I've got to get set up to play T3 fan missions.
All 'cause str8g8 is an artiste when it comes to the Thief aesthetic.

Having tried out the first video file (01Intro_engl_none_30.bik) it is definately corrupt somewhere round frame 453.
The older beta one runs fine though. Its odd the file sizes are the same, however the version 1.1 has a file date of exactly 2 hours later (to the second).
I would suggest updating it, if need be I can upload the original movie file.
The second video is fine though.
I used (
http://www.radgametools.com/bnkdown.htm) Bink And Smaker player to play it.
Hello Potter,
have you run something like ZipRepair on the TDS_Bridge_v1.zip, yet?
(I'm getting at least 13 files missing after 3 downloads and repairs.)
And heck, just opening one of them with WinZip will show you directory errors.
A problem video or two is just a small bother.
But with game-files, who knows what lays ahead in actual gameplay, later?
And if you have those missing files as functional copies then a much smaller addendum upload, for re-creating the original zip-file, might be a fast fix?

Here's my older version of ZipRepair, if you need it or to compare notes?
(
http://www.myfilelink.co.uk/file.aspx?id=e90f868650cb4fcbb944486b1611d83f) ZipRepair

And as you know, extracting 01Intro_engl_none_30.bik from the repaired zip, will find its crc problem, right there and then.

Great FM! I've been waiting for this one for some time now, and have been enjoying it... that is, up to now. Actually, I'm a little frustrated with myself, as I'm stuck, and in need of some help, please.
So far I've returned the wayward daughter and collected the copied key, and returned the original. Don't know where to use the copied key.
I've yet to... get into Grimworth and DePerrin's (wherever that is?)
steal the statue
get to the bridge
return items to widow (because I can't get to bridge)
I've climbed around everwhere (but have obviously missed something), and there is only one door that won't open. The copied key doesn't work on it, so there must be another key somewhere.
Any clues/hints would be greatly appreciated! Thanks

That's the thing I got no errors against the zip when I opened it, and the zip DLL GL uses normally returns some kind of error with a corrupt zip. However the corruped movie file is actually
2 bytes bigger than the working one.
I have 328 files in the new one and 320 in the beta, GL has extracted all 328 files ok, I have played through about half way so far with no problems other than the first video.
Cheers, tried that and interestingly I got 13 corrupt files as well...not the video file though but the 13 objectives files. Which would explain why
Tithian was having problems. Although I can actually see all the objectives so I am not convinced by their corruptness. The objective files open ok in textpad (they are just text files basically) with no sign of problem, so I would guess its the folder path that is the culprit as they are all in the same folder.
str8g8, you do need to upload a fixed zip file or upload to a different host as its possible that the problem is there. Although bar the objective files and the intro movie it all seems fine.
You have a long way to go...its BIG...
The copied key doesn't work on it, so there must be another key somewhere.
If its the extra large door to the bridge you are talking about then I had a slight problem with the key myself in the beta, you have to kind of look up at the door to get it to unlock properly, way up.

So, based on what I'm seeing here it's time to reinstall TDS and give GL a go?
bdkl on 23/5/2006 at 22:27
I booted into Windows and downloaded this thing thinking it sounded fairly good, then it promptly crashed playing the intro . The textures look good and the atmosphere reminds me of Call of Cthulhu - especially the town square . The cheesy blue highlight color is still there and the movements still don't feel 100 % , but this is a vast improvement over what I have played before . I hope the bugs get sorted out , until then it's Mepis Linux and a silky smooth game of UT2004 for me . Good luck taffer .

Hell yes, you should have done it a while ago. ;)

Not that I remember.
