Potterr, I see your point. . .
To be able to produce a "finished" central FM which has exits that will teleport the player into another FM that is created much later, without downloading a newer version of the central FM, sounds like an EXCELLENT over-all game design to me! :thumb:
And Ion Storm gave us a very nice example of this, within their T3 City Street maps. (Where almost every OM or map-joining "exit" was closed, at first and required a very special objective, before opening.) And if I remember, correctly, their message about the reason for it being closed, was more then enough info for my simple needs. :p
And for one "grand and glorious" Bridge FM game-plan, what FMs would you link those "Bridge exits" to? (I would guess that Str3g8 has his "plans", already in place? ;) ) But should he have to do all of those "Bridge exit" FMs, by himself?
And, of course, OM/FM interconnecting The Bridge FM between the Audale and the Old Quarter OMs, with a very special one-time objective that makes The Bridge into a one-time OM/FM adventure, would be pushing any level of current "FM designing" way too far for even a lot of us, designing-devils. :ebil:

Hi, i've returned the locksmiths daughter and picked up the copied key, but cannot return it back to its original spot in the guardroom, no matter how I try. I've looked at my gear on the pause menu, but I see no copy or original key on it. Has anyone run into this problem before?
Oh and thank you very much for this great mission str8g8! As soon as i started it , I spent about 5 minutes gazing in awe at the skybox.

You need to look in inventory wheel, highlight the key and hit the "use" item, usually "i" unless you have changed the bindings.:) Also, you must be roughly in the right spot for it to work.
The keys in this FM work differently from the keys in DS, so you will need to use the above procedure to unlock doors as well.

Thats the problem str8g8 :( . I've returned the locksmith's daughter, picked up the key that appears on his table, but for some reason this key does not appear in my inventory wheel, or even on the inventory list on the gear menu. Has anyone come across this before?

Not to my knowledge :( Are you playing with the latest GL?
Bho on 26/7/2006 at 10:46
My GL is 1.328 (an early beta poterr gave me some while ago, to try on some problems I was having) I'll try going back to another version and see if I get the same errors.

Well, this is embarrasing. :erg:
I've managed to lock myself into the vault! I was working on opening one of the vault chests when I heard footsteps coming in my direction. I closed the vault door so that I wouldn't be seen, and after the guard left and I'd finished lockpicking I discovered to my horror that I was trapped inside! I'd figure the vault would have had some safetly mechanism or could be opened from the inside...is there any way I can get out of here?? If not then maybe someone can just tell me what happens after the player leaves the vault with all objectives completed? Thanks.

I am having this exact problem. Was a solution ever found? I'm using GL 1.32.
I love the mission so far!

Not sure if Bho found a solution or not?
More general advice would be to make sure you are using the latest GL and make sure you are using the T3Main.exe that GL installs. If the problem persists let me know, and I will test it out myself.
There will be an update to the Bridge shortly to add German language support.
