Is the title for this mission a Current 93 reference? I thought it might've been coincidence but then I also spotted Coil mentioned in the campaign credits. Love to see it.

Also, one of the columns/pillars near the entry to the library on 2nd floor is suitable, at least if one leans forward while snatching the key.

Great mission, though similar to pwl, I walked right past the means to entering the torture chamber many, many times without realizing it.

The letter from Raputo in your starting inventory states the location on the first page. It is the only door at ground level in the starting area.

Just 50 loot shy of the total, dangit. Probably some purse I forgot to fetch.
I encountered a softlock bug: The jewel can easily be fetched and replaced through the glass without opening it. While this does not check the objective (which I did not notice at the time), it *does* start the alarm. If you assume that the job is done and leave to some other part of the level, the alarm will trigger at the end of the interval and the mission fails. If you saved over all your saves and cannot reach the jewel in time anymore, you have to restart.
I thankfully could, and just opened and closed the lid. This deactivates the alarm and also correctly checks the objective.
Overall, solid mission but the cameras, predominantly electric light sources and the ungodly amount of tap-dancing marble floor promote savescumming and/or lead to a lot more trial-and-error and waiting around than I'm comfortable with in a Thief mission.

I can't find DeWall's ledger. I would have thought it was in his suite or his private study or library, but I didn't see it in any of those places. I'm at the end, so I've been up & down the house dozens of times. Anyway, could someone give me an idea of where to look?
If we're trading Captain stories, as soon as I saw that guy & his dog, I knew right off that this is a job for the gas arrow, and after a failed attempt or two, I shot it right at his foot to take out the guy & the dog with one shot. I can imagine how much of a challenge it would have been if I would have had to do something else.
