So i found 6 portraits inside the mansion and can't find the 7th.
Have seen someone else here say there is one in the attic that is easy to miss. Is it the one which is in the room with the ghost in the iron maiden? Cause I have found that but I can't find the last portrait. Are any of portraits behind one of those doors that won't open initially?
The one people have a harder time finding (if it's the same as the one you can't find):
It's not actually in the attic, but you can only get to it through the attic. In the attic, look for a smallish square attic access in the floor; you can drop or preferably rope arrow down into a mansion room which can't be reached in any other way.

You're either missing the one that's in the room with the statuette which doesn't open until after you unlock the box in the music room or you're missing the one that's in a room that can be accessed through a trap door from one of the rooms in the attic

Nice mission, loved the initial city-area and rooftopping. About 4 hrs of play-time to complete the whole thing. Definitely very enjoyable. The Holy Sword was very handy. And by the way, after completing my objectives in the manor, I made my exit via the rooftops and the barricade wall, since I found a neat way to climb up on a certain balcony - just saying :)

Enjoying the mission, did need the hint on the last portrait. No issue for me with the loot goal, as achieved that (I think) before getting to Hawtrey Manor. Now have about
2700 loot... close enough that I want to track down more on the return home.
Before I leave Hawtrey Manor...

Is there a purpose to the
magical symbol in the bathroom? Do I unlock anything with it?Is this something we can activate or use? I did try
arrows, but wonder about order using them? Need a hint please.

Just finished and you guys did it again! 9 out of 10 overall score, fantastic stuff. Finished in 3 hours and 50 minutes with 3126 out of 3128 loot. Only missed 2, argh! Probably some coins laying around. The ambience and overall atmosphere in this one was magnificent, with a true nod to The Haunted Cathedral. I was a little disappointed with the manor at first, but then that all went away as soon as it happened. The twist due the mission's title is the perfect way to keep the story interesting going forward. I certainly can't wait to find out what'll happen next. I was wondering if we were just gonna keep doing work for DeWall forever, but now it got really interesting.
Some tough to find loot:
- Diamond on hidden balcony from manor attic
- Tiara in dirt in one of the manor rooms
- Small ring in drawer in manor office
- Goblet on sill right after you cross the barricades from Glendower
- Nugget among planets in apt above alchemist
- Ring among bone rubble by spiders in southeast ruins
Pros:
- Story; everything from the setup of the incident and the Hawtrey manor, to the branding and change in Hume's priorities towards the end. Perfect stuff.
- Ambience. The opening streets tune especially, but I also loved the creepy vibes in and around the manor itself.
- Non-linearity of city. Lots of ways over the barricades, and even more coming back. ;)
- Nice even split between streets, sewers, quarantine zone, and manor proper.
- Lots of hidden stuff everywhere, rewarding those who search every nook and cranny. I read about several who finished with only about half the loot.
Cons:
- A few of the portraits could have posed more of a challenge to obtain, like small puzzles or something, especially since we never ended up getting the harp. I was surprised they were all just in plain sight.
- Not many readables or info on the Hawtrey family. They seemed like an integral part to this part of town.

Heyo - am replaying this now that I'm not on a deadline to write a feature about it. Even better the second time around, now that I can fully explore all the nooks and crannies!
Questions:
1)Has anyone figured out the deal with the manor bathroom? Both with the big magic symbol and the bathtub full of brains??
2) Is there any info on the deep pit in the sewers? With a floating blue face that kills you? Is there a legit way down to the bottom? Or is that just a kind of "Easter egg" to ensure players aren't trapped forever if they somehow survive the fall?

Ouch, my BRAIN! There are way way too many paths in this mission. Decision route overload... my brain's capacity to keep the map layout in mind is being exceeded.
Seriously, why is every mission trying to merge Thieves Guild and Life of Party and then squaring it. I liked Disorientation but this is getting to be tougher than Disorientation with every single mission:confused:.
Definitely not a campaign for rookie taffers.
PS I completed the previous level with over 2700 loot before I went back to find the remaining 150-ish. (only needed dromed to find a 4 pieces at two location I had already hit). So I'm no rookie at completing levels to 100%.

1) In previous posts, others suggested
a way to go beyond the magic symbol which starts with shooting arrows at the elemental symbols around the statuette; I have tried, but nothing happened, there seems to be more to be done for activating the big symbol;
2) The only safe and legit way is
landing right on the floating head. I would say this is just
an Easter egg.

Where did you find
the Holy Sword?
