You can mantle the lamp quite easily without a crate too, then hop to the pipe.

I'm always using the default gamma value (1.0), since that's usually what players are using. All of the missions in TBP use similar ambient light settings, which dictates how dark the shadows are.

Im currently at the end of mission 1, found the orpahange, but cant get in cause the doors looked! Does anyone else have this problem? Is there any console commands for unlocking doors or no-clipping?

In typical Thief fashion, there's another way in... you just need to look around a little more. Hume's not afraid to swim.

Already on my second playthrough for this mission, it's absolute joy to navigate. Trying to get as much loot as I can this time around, still 97 short of the loot total but I'll take it. There's probably some stuff I missed on the many, many windowsills.

I managed to get
up the generator by
jumping across from the SE platform with a speed potion that I picked up somewhere along the way. Also no clue if that's the intended way but I have no idea how to get there otherwise.

I did the same, though I didn't use a speed potion, just an angled running jump.

Close to a decade of taffing and I still forget about the speed increase from diagonal movement. Disgraceful!
