Apparently the Bible is not conservative enough for conservatives anymore. It needs to be redefined in order to maintain their beliefs. As a friend said recently, never underestimate the ignorance of this country (the US).
Sadly, I can identify with this crazy conservative notion in the link above because I used to be in the same camp. I do have much regret from my old conservative days, but I can celebrate the fact now that I have seen the truth and it set me free. I don't believe in stupid shit like this anymore, thankfully. Quite honestly, I'm never sure I quite did, but I tried my hardest to for a while.
Thanks to everyone here who challenged my crazy conservative idiocy so that I wised up enough to think for myself. Hopefully my level of ignorance is falling to new lows, but one never can tell until after the fact. At least I know I'm miles away from thinking that God created the earth in seven days, put two kinds of every animal on a boat, split the Red Sea, yada yada. Thanks all.

As someone who holds many conservative (more specifically libertarian) views, I think this is completely stupid.
Don't read too much into it. Conservapedia is dumb dumb dumb.

I liked Conservapedia better when I thought they were a parody.

Two thoughts:
A: When you've gone from believing that the bible is infallible (it isn't for most christians in the world, for a host of reasons I won't get into here.) to the belief that "What I believe is correct to the point that I need to alter facts to support it", you've taken the step off the deep end into cult-like thinking.
B: They're correct: The bible (when you give preference to new testament tracts) preaches looking out for the less fortunate, the pursuit of an equitable society, and respect for the innate rights of every human regardless of gender of whether they are from your "people"/race. These are the same ideals that drive most (sincere) liberals.
Even if the bible is somewhat liberal, so what? Michael Moore is correct in his assertion that capitalism is not related to Christianity. In fact, the modern capitalist system is based entirely on interest-based lending, something that biblical (and medieval christian) teaches is inherently sinful because it enables a richer individual to extort and bully the less rich.

In the new conservative Bible Jesus tells the leper off for not having health insurance, the Good Samaritan gives the wounded Jew a lecture on the importance of being armed for self-defence, and the five thousand fed with loaves and fishes had to pay for their meal, else they become reliant on handouts.

While no conservative, I caution you against falling too in love with your new-found beliefs. If you fully convince yourself that what you now believe is the whole, objective truth, that's pretty much telling all future learning to piss off, and is chock full of hubris. I'm in no way trying to pick on you by saying this - pretty much everyone, including me, does this sometimes - but it's worth noting when it pops up.
More on topic, I still have trouble believing this isn't a form of satire. But it's probably both - wikis are communal by nature, and you probably have some true believers and others who are just having a laugh.

Honestly I'm not sure I have something defined as "beliefs". I would not call myself athiest or agnostic... just "I don't know and don't particularly care right now."
