Okay, so my attempts in my last thread were a miserable failure. VGA looks like total ass and HDMI -> displayport doesn't work at all. So I'm trying the more expensive option.
Basically I'm looking for a small widescreen TV- something in the range of 21" will do- that comes with a headphone jack, accepts composite and/or HDMI, and doesn't look like complete shit. I swear I saw something for $250 months ago that fit my criteria but I'll be goddamned if I can find it now.
Suggestions?

Wait for December sales. Last year, I got a 48" Samsung for next to nothing. I saw 19" Vizios for $99. Check Dell.com (free shipping, warranty) and plain old WallyWorld.

Why exactly 21"? If you think that 32" is too big for a 1-1.5m distance you're really wrong. It's just that 32" is generally has much much better quality (screen and sound) than lesser ones, I don't recommend to buy a lesser TV.
You can find a cheap (and FullHD) 32" quite easily I believe. I bought a FullHD Sony 32EX402 a year ago for about 530usd and quite happy with it, now it should cost about 400 or less depending on where you live.

Because I don't have room for anything bigger.
