Is there a particular Version of 3D Max and Paint shop
for Re-skinning AI in Deadly Shadows? Does anyone know
what 3D editor was used to create T3?
Thanks for any info on this, I'm shopping for
the right programs for WindowsXP. I figure
it might pay to know for the sake of compatability
with the pre-existing AI and Objects.

The 3D editor you want is 3ds max 5.1. Not version 5, not version 6, not version 7, not version 8; it has to be exactly 5.1, or Ion Storm's plugins won't work.
You can use just about any image editing program you want for textures, provided it can export DDS formats, or has a plugin available that can do so. (Or you can use a conversion program.)

Actually you can upgrade version 5 to 5.1 & the 5.1 SP1 works with the Ion Storm plugins. Version 5 is very hard to find though. Some of us had to go through an alternative route . . .

I primarily use the Gimp. Here's the fleshworks link to windows gimp & associated plugins:

Oh, and we're still way hazy about if custom/reskinned NPCs is even possible here.
Otherwise max 5.1 is your only option for modelling.
Textures, all I can say is don't use PaintShopPro with the Photoshop plugin from nividia (they claim it works, but it makes a mess of a lot of things if/when it does)

Ziemanskye, just FYI:
The last released version of the nvidia tools was indeed messed up. I used the email address in the command line tools package to contact the guy, and over about a week he got info and files from me, and with that, he fixed some bugs that had crept in, apparently. Keep your eye out for the next release (whatever/whenever that is) if you want to keep using PSP for it - should be fixed.
