I downloaded a copy of SS1 Mac from StrangeBedfellows, and me being the fanboy I am, went and read the help file that came with the game. Guess what I found:
SYSTEM SHOCK: THE BONUS TRACKs
The game CD includes three bonus music tracks that you can play in a standard CD player. It's important to point out, though, that the music is on tracks 2, 3 and 4 (not 1, 2 and 3). Some CD players automatically recognize this and skip to track 2, but others will require you to skip ahead manually.
Greg LoPiccolo (who created all the game music) produced all three of these tracks:
2. "System Shock"
3. "Reactor"
4. "The Ballad of Edward Diego"
Hmmmm, I guess number 2 is the live intro and 3 is the music played on level R, but whats 4? I did a google search on "The Ballad of Edward Diego" and found nothing. I mean nothing, not one site.
So does anyone know what it is? Its not in the download, and I can't find anything about it anywhere, so could someone who has the CD check it out?

Is it April 1st where you are, or are you serious?
Not helpful I know, but... awesome!

Damn shame the songs aren't on the Mac image. I always thought it was complete... Anyway, no use in waiting here for someone with an original Mac SS1 version showing up I guess. Thanks for telling us though.

Someone selling "DISK ONLY"
Perhaps one of you with better ebay-fu can find a contact link to ask if it is the CD version, and about the audio tracks?
Additional edit: Oh duh

Right, but there is no Ballad of Eddy there.

I know, and that was the intriguing part.
Adding to the list of things to pick up when I finish my time machine.
