another great idea would be to mix textures of thief/2 and system shock/2 as i seen some fan missions that did that and the feeling was weird in a great way
even some mc escher type layout in some parts of a map,like a mixing of 2 worlds kinda overlapping in time,something stick through other things,making a type of stairway to get around some parts of levels its got to have a maw inspired feeling i think not by looks but how you have to travel to section to section

yeah..some of the stuff from the mini-campaign "Deep Trouble" would be a good idea too.... especially the stuff found on the "Swordfish" sub..

okay.. I'm bumping this thread since I saw a thread for "the First FM of 2025".. now I think this couldnt claim that title..but.. I think we could try to work on it a bit.. anyone interested??

So, a bit more than 2.5 years later and what have you done? <--- sounds harsh. but it's not:
I've been playing in the universe for 25+ years and over those years, I've occasionally tried the various editors to no avail. My brain just doesn't work with them despite the handful of, what I think, would be great premises or inspirations for FMs or campaigns - I think once or twice I've added to a FM idea on a thread.
These posts, not just this one from Eiji, always come off as ungrateful and plain rude to our priceless authors and artists and can be summarized as:
"Here's a great idea (according to me). Someone do it." That's just how they come off to me...
I realize that some mod will be tempted to remove this reply, but I would suggest that instead, and in addition to the "Thief in real life" thread, members can submit neutral, non-demanding treatments, outlines and inspirations to a dedicated part of this forum. I know this community has a fan-fiction offshoot and, in that vein, I mentally picture a composer finding librettos for their operas, but I believe that among those many of us who can't code ( :P ) or write longform novellas can still contribute in such a way. It would be very easy for FM credits to include such post authors as well.
I'll leave it at that before I ramble and contradict myself and, I intend no ill will or offence to any member who has started a "hey here's an idea" thread.

Not sure what you're going on about here, Eiji is clearly looking to collaborate with someone. That's not even close to "here's an idea, someone else do it."
Then you mention starting up a thread for FM ideas, but it sounds like you want someone else to create it. Go figure.

Not to put too fine a point on it, but I think the first step is that Eiji should go through this tutorial, learn to create a Thief mission and then he or she will have a better idea of what can be done (or what is too hard to do). If the mission is good enough, people in the community will
want to collaborate with Eiji to make something great.
