Okay fellow Taffers.... this may sound rather far out..but..
while back I found a couple vids on YouTube about the creepypasta known as "the backrooms".... a kind of domain of endless rooms with buzzing lights, musty carpet and ugly yellow wallpaper.... and the rooms seem to go on and on and on.... (all supposedly happening if you happen to "noclip" out of reality as we know it..)
its enough to drive a guy mad.. or worse..
anyway, I got to thinking.. it may be beyond the capabilities of DromEd and NewDark.. but you think an FM partially based on this could be done? Sort of like the result of some Mechanist experiment gone totally taffed.... with zombies, haunts, or even the builders children.. taken to a ridiculous extreme?
anyway,, just wanted to know what you thought of that idea.....

i was going to make the same post but since it was me i decided not to,but i would love to have a series of backrooms missions start out in the yellow stained hallways/room then follow in other missions to the other area's and ending outside
great idea eiji

There have been a few missions with mazes that teleport you back to other areas, giving the illusion that they go on forever

tower of babble mission was omg wow where you can keep going higher in library
and the mission i think called the shed outside or something, where one puzzle is a flat version of library of babel
so its 100% doable for thief, just have to come up with objectives

yeah..would make a nice mini-campaign.. like I said.. all part of some Mechanist experiment gone wrong....
anyway...I do understand part of this "found footage" videos was that there are also doors, stairs, and even some "apartments" as well in this "null-space".. so having places lead to others could work...
anyway, just had a look on Steam, there's a number of games based on the backrooms.. some aren't out yet, but might be worth a look for ideas...

the power of the backrooms for those who never seen the 2 best videos so far in my view

So some guys just mashed up a bunch of SCPs into an unimaginative knockoff.

I think this topic could be more differentiated. The backrooms originally came from a liminal space idea, recently rebooted by the liminal space pools:

The backrooms became popular for representing that odd feeling of being lost and forgotten in a somehow familiar space.
And then some potheads from Reddit expanded the lore by creating more "levels" and "creatures".
I think, the backrooms could fit very well in a fan mission concept, beginning oddish normal, but the level becomes more and more weird in progress - that´s how Constantines manor worked so well. By adding thick black fog and giving Garrett a lantern it would easily create a tense horror fan mission.
My thoughts.
