I'm with Renz. We actually have a Spirograph in that same box, too. Great fun when I was little.
That's pretty sweet. I wonder what could cause a pattern like that.

Wasn't a black hole, nor an alien invasion. Not even a rare meteorologic event. Just ole Bill Nasaman, drunk on white lightning while flying the space shuttle again.

Maybe it was just me but my spirograph seemed to have a vindictive streak. It would wait until just the wrong moment and then the cogs would slip or one of the pins holding the wheels pop out ruining the picture.
Amazing photo, though - better than most in the "interesting pictures" thread.

Videos seemed to add some mysterious electromagnetic aura to it, but whatever it was is gone leaving a black hole, well dark hole.
