So some smart-alec Tribunal priest just told you to do the pilgrimages of the seven graces. If you're anything like me this is your reaction: :bored: Don't worry, with a few spells and enchanted items you can get it done in 10 minutes real-time!
Needed items: The "donation" items for all of the shrines (listed in The Pilgrim's Path), some magicka restoring potions
Needed spells or scrolls: Divine Intervention, Almsivi Intervention, Mark, Recall
Recommended item: An item enchanted with constant effect invisibility
Preparation: Cast your Mark spell somewhere in Caldera. Other places will work too, but I'm going to assume it's in Caldera. Then get your outlander butt to the city of Vivec. Ready? Here we go...
1) Make your donation to the shrine to Stop The Moon. Whee! We can fly really fast now!
2) Fly to The Shrine of Generosity and make your donation.
3) Enter The Puzzle Canal and visit The Shrine of Courtesy as quickly as you can.
4) Cast Almsivi Intervention to exit the canal, and fly directly to the Fields of Kummu. Make your donation.
5) In quick succession cast Recall and Divine Intervention. Now you should be at Fort Buckmoth. This would be a good time to activate a constant effect invisibility, unless you like fighting cliff racers.
6) Fly to the Ghostgate shrine and donate for the Grace of Pride.
7) Cast Almsivi Intervention to reach Ald-ruhn. Now fly to the stilt-strider and hitch a ride to Gnisis.
8) Fly to the Gnisis temple and visit the shrine of the mask.
9) Cast Almsivi Intervention to move back outside quickly, and fly directly to the Koal Cave. At the cave, make your donation.
Congratulations. You've completed the pilgrimages in record time!

You could shave a good 5 seconds or so off the trip by casting Intervention when you get off the Strider at Gnisis, but otherwise pretty interesting.

does the levitation last that long?

madphilb You're right, and I generally do that when I'm on the pilgrimage. I made a conscious decision not to include the extra intervention spell because I didn't think the few extra seconds would be worth it for most people.
daniel, yes the levitation that you get from Stop The Moon lasts for an insanely long time, as do the effects from all of the other shrines. Kinda makes them good places to stop before certain quests.
Also, one thing I forgot to mention previously is that characters with The Atronarch birth sign may have to donate more than once at Stop The Moon because they have a 50% chance per donation of absorbing the levitation effect instead of being affected by it.

They last for 24 game hours, if I remember correctly.

If you're prepared to use a mark placed prior to undertaking the pilgrimage, would it not make more sense to place it by the Ghostgate shrine? You did only use it the once. And then there are other speed increasing spells/items which would surely be of use.

My goal was to make the pilgrimage quickly and with a minimum of tedium, both before and during the quest. Making the trip to Ghostgate beforehand to place a Mark spell without the benefit of Stop The Moon's levitation? Tedious. However, if you're trying to win some sort of "pilgrimage race" then go ahead.

I might take that challenge on sometime (I have a character who could do it), but my computer would be the thing letting me down. Loading isn't exactly too quick at the moment :(.

If you're so in a hurry to finish then you can just finish the whole game in 15minutes. :D
