I hope SD realises I sacrificed Sir Clothesfalloffalot to reflect his rather variable quality tag bombing.

There's certainly a lot of unreasonable hatred towards the British in Ireland. I remember people being
outraged when Currys (an electronics shop in Britain and Ireland) were advertising a special deal of reduced prices to match the UK VAT rate prices available in Northern Ireland, by using a logo of the Union Jack with the colours of the Irish flag.
It looks like people even (

Personally, I can't stand nationalism in any form. (I mean the word, I don't mean Nationalism as in those people who want to see Northern Ireland become a part of the Republic again).

Unreasonable, but certainly understandable.
After all, people don't just "get over" hundreds of years of oppression and even genocide. Hurt feelings can last awhile.

And then she blesses them upon their triumphant return for doing the will of the Church of England.
Huh? Where does the CoE come into it? If anything, the CoE leadership is slightly left-wing and isn't keen on wars, ever since WW1.

I don’t view her as a glowing ball of neutrality; she has a political agenda be it the wars, or sexy causes like global warming (e.g. telling 53 nations in Trinidad and Tobago to unite at Copenhagen), or stirring up enthusiasm for the Commonwealth.
The commonwealth is only there for cultural exchange - it doesn't really do anything. It's not like a free-trade area or anything. HM likes the Commonwealth precisely because it's one area they can enthuthiastically support without being charged with political bias. Plus, the Royals make a point of supporting the armed forces whilst staying aloof from the politics of the situation. I can think of lots of occasions of HM giving words of encouragement to the troops on the ground, but not of giving support to actual wars.
