I drink a reasonable amount of wine, some would say an unhealthily reasonable amount, my preference lies with shiraz, pinot noir and chardonnay though I enjoy all varietals. I probably put away between 3 to 4 half bottles a week and enjoy trying new wines on a weekly basis.
I've basically oscillated between spirits since I started drinking because I was a bit of a lightweight and couldn't put away much, now on my "can never drink again list" is anything remotely aniseedy (sambuca, ouzo, pernod) and Jack Daniels gives me stomach the old twitch on occasion.
I've always had a soft spot for whisky but this ridiculously humid climate does not make for single malt sipping weather and when I do, I have to cruelly pollute the flavour with ice to make it so that I'm not sitting in my own sweat after a finger or two.
Despite being cruelly ill on Bundaberg rum once I can still return to it, though in general I find it to be a vile drink - ever since my Cuba jaunt in '02 I love rums dearly and probably drink them most above all spirits. Current favourite is Capt Morgan Gold (Morgan Spiced to you lot in the UK).

Do you cram one into the other?
EDIT: Straight vodka: nothing like injesting something that smells like gasoline. :thumb:

I used to love me some good weed. Guess that's why it took so long to finish my early FM's. Now it's usually a good IPA or a strong Dark 'N' Stormy.

But vodka doesn't smell of anything. Are you sure you aren't just drinking petrol?

Wrong
I wouldn't say it smells like petrol but it does actually have an odour.

I knew when I wrote my previous post that the comparison I was drawing was completely inaccurate. Unfortunately, I really don't know how else to describe it.

I like (
http://www.4copas.com/anejo) this, but I've only ever bought a single bottle. Otherwise, I tend to drink the cheaper reposados -- well, anything that doesn't have "Gold" in the title. I think Cuervo Gold and Sauza Gold are largely responsible for tequila's stigma.
Besides tequila I've been trying more whiskeys lately, I like rye and water, scotch on the rocks, but I don't think I'm even in sight of attaining a palette yet. Same goes for wines -- until this year I'd barely tried them, now I'm kinda just exploring what's out there.
Never had a really good marijuana high, though. I can live fine without it.
