Anybody have a suggestion on a plug-in or Construction set change to reduce that ugly effect that enchanting an item has? :weird: I'd like it to be a lot more subtle.
I had a plug-in that used to do it, but after I installed Tribunal the plastic effect was back big-time, and reinstalling the old plugin didn't do anything. Maybe it's modifying old textures?

You have to essentially update that plugin, it involves the TES Construction set and it's very simple.
1. Open the TES Construction Set
2. Go File>Data Files and check Morrowind.esm and Tribunal.esm and the plugin that removes the "plastic effect" and when it's selected hit the "Set as Active File", then hit OK.
3. Ignore any loading error messages and if it asks to shut down the program, say no.
4. Once it's all loaded, simply save the plugin, and your done.
5. Close the Construction Set, load up Morrowind, make sure that plugin is checked in the Data Files screen, and when you load your game, the plastic effect should be gone :)
Hope this helps :cheeky:

This doesn't work, because the plugin really isn't a plug-in - it's just a set of CAUST##.dds files to be extracted into the DataFiles directory. Does Tribunal not use these textures??

I know 2 plugins that get rid of or lower the plastic effect.
Noglow and plastic effect reduction.
The noglow plugin is a .esm that changes the color of the texture of enchanted items, the plastic effect is there, you can see it when you go underwater or in fog, but the effect is gone anywhere else.(you will need to open this up in the tescs and resave it so its newer than the tribunal master file for it to work again.)
plastic effect reduction changes the texture files, i think someone made a patch for it, check morrowind summit or euromorrowind for it.
