As a side note, don't anybody ever recycle the old stuff? There seems to always be something I haven't heard in ages, so I don't
really need any new CDs.

I second Black Holes and Revelations; this is Muse's Nevermind/OK Computer (Knights of Cydonia the next Paranoid Android, and holy shit what video can top that), and the best thing I've heard this decade. Their previous record was a bit generic and skippable, but now they are back to their old over-the-top unchecked excess ways. Muse really nailed it with this one. Can't wait for them to rock my fucking balls off the 28th

Last thing I bought was Agaetis Byrjun by Sigur Ros, this is probably all the fault of OnionBob as I originally got Takk...
Takk PISSES ME OFF. Why did they have to be artsy-fartsy and make their own CD case? Yes, it's very pretty, but it DOESN'T FIT IN THE CD RACK WITH THE OTHER CDs, meaning it just has to lie on some random surface and float around the house. Very annoying.

Glad to see the community embracing timeless classics like Tubgirl
My latest purchases:
Philip Glass - Glassworks
William Basinski - The Disintegration Loops
Steve Reich - Music For 18 Musicians
Glassworks and D-Loops I haven't really got into but I say to you now people, since some of you value my judgement: MUSIC FOR 18 MUSICIANS IS PERHAPS ONE OF THE FINEST PEICES OF MUSIC I HAVE EVER HEARD IN MY FUCKING LIFE, IT IS BEYOND COMPARE

Where did the last two hours go??
This is fascinating and almost heartbreaking at the same time. At first I found some lines I was going to callously quote here, but the further I read into it, the more apparent it became that Ulililiia more than just a geek with a penchant for math and stats. In fact, I don't think I've ever seen such a complete (and seemingly accurate) insight into a...
human (read his list of fears) with his peculiar mental condition.

Matt Costa - Songs We Sing
- actually rather good, I was skeptical at first, but anyone who covers "Well Alright" in concert gets a big high-five from me. A Buddy Holly/Blind Faith cover? You get the wins, buddy.
Bob Dylan - Dylan For Sale or Just on the Shelf
- not really a release, but it's a great bootleg that collectes a tone of the outtakes from his first four albums (has some really inspired folk songs on it).
Benevento/Russo Duo - Play, Pause, Stop
- woo, these boys can play. Seriously, jazz musicians or people who enjoy music that sounds electronic, give these fella's a listen. The new album is either almost better or just flat out better than their debut, which was an awesome album on it's own. Memphis and Walking, Running, Viking are both crazy awesome songs.

I agree. Actually, I can't think of anything by Steve Reich (off the top of my head) that isn't incredibly good, if you like minimalism.

I'm not the most musically attuned guy.
I'm mostly into instrumental music (besides the music I hear from my games...yeh, I'm a pretty boring guy...still, the Myst Series does have good music), though I have heard Aphex Twin a few times and I agree it's pretty cool. I find Rob Zombie's music is a lot of fun, too (the remix of Dragula is my favorite and Superbeast is pretty damn good, too).
Oh, Nightwish too (Yeah, I shut up).
I mostly peruse music through YouTube; I'm very cautious about what I buy (although I'm definately considering a Zombie album). Probably too cautious.
My brother is addicted to rap and occasionally I'll listen. I think some it is pretty funny, inventive, original, etc; others can only recycle so much n______, bitch, ho, and muthafucka before the schtick gets irritating.
