Looks like this is the place that everyone comes to whine and moan about DX:HR. Some of you guys have some major sticks wedged up real tight.
No, the real hardcore action is going over the Eidos forums.

I think it's safe to say no amount of "whining" is going to make any difference now.

HEY!
Wanna know what the rocket is?
From David Anfossi:
"Low-Earth-Orbit Shuttlecraft or L.E.O craft
These are the future in earth travel, but limited to billionaires and corporations because they are so expensive to operate. They enable people to cut down travel time between one city and another by launching into low earth orbit and dropping back down in sync with the earth's rotation. Thus, one can hop from American to China in about half the time it would take to travel by conventional airplanes."

That... sounds pretty stupid.
Renzatic on 17/9/2010 at 07:08
Damn straight. Stupid extrapolation of existing technologies in fictional near future scenarios. What the fuck were they thinking?
fake edit: Goddamn if I could roll off the big words like this in Word Mole, I'd be the top scorer on all of Facebook.
Koki on 17/9/2010 at 11:15
Damn straight. I mean it's fictional so who cares about punching through walls, having a hand that can rotate 360 degrees for no reason, cyborg chakats from the future, going from A to C then from C to B instead simply from A to B, cities that apparently weight nothing build on other cities and the final boss being a gigantic space Mario with his huge nose housing a fleet of genetically engineerred killer koalas. Also, the president is a kiwi.
But hey, it's fictional - you can't complain.
Renzatic on 17/9/2010 at 11:51
All those complaints can be answered with one sentence. He's got a robot hand. Punch through walls? Robot hand. 360 degree spin-fingers? Robot hand. Cities built on top of cities? Robot hand (the people who built said cities probably have robot hands). Mario space fleet and presidential kiwi thing? I dunno. I'll say robot hand to save face.
And anyway, I thought you were criticizing the low earth orbit transportation thing, which isn't quite so stupid.
New Horizon on 17/9/2010 at 12:47
Yeah. I've said it before...gaming studios want to make movies now, and not games. Kind of sucks.

Even GITS realized just having a robot hand is not enough, as you'll probably need a robot spine and legs too.

stupid monolouge continues being stupid. love the visuals, though. maybe eidos wants to jump on bob kotick's bandwagon and release the DX:HR cgi movie for half the price of the game so us whiners can enjoy the story as it was meant to be: in 3rd person without any input from us.
