The
open grave you are describing is just that, a one way ticket to death. You must obtain the key to the Sacred Mausoleum from Old man Malcolm on his belt, lying on the floor of his house. The key you have fits the chest in his house. Once you get into the Mausoleum, look around for a way into the caves. Refer to your treasure map for navigation. From another post

UPDATE: The author has updated the mission. Here are his comments:
Here is a revised edition v.1.19 Thief Gold for those using the T1W/Tg patch.
Some are experiencing invisible sword problem. I believe they are using something other than fm selector and it is loading in T2.
Download the updated version here: (

This link is also now in the first post.

EDIT: suspected unavaillable items:
248 & 272, a silver nugget (50) and a necklace (200)Quote Posted by Iceblade
There are; however, two pieces of loot
a silver nugget and a necklace near the
dead female thief near the shaft.Yes, exactly those two are missing/not obtainable. Does the new version have a fix for that loot ?
Does not look like this got fixed.

Hmmmm... any hints on the secrets please?
Seems they are
required instead of
optional
I see no more
rocks to blow up.
I played the T2 version on "Tasty" (aka "Normal") difficulty. The secrets were definitely optional, although I had a bug that the mission stats at the end claimed "0 out of 0 secrets" (when I had definitely visited some of them).
Also, the T2 version does not have an invisible sword. My sword was quite visible (and useful for killing endless undead unhappy at having their treasures looted :ebil:).

Is there a way to defeat the skeletons? What good are the throwing knives?

Which
skeletons are you referring to? Yes, every creature in the game can be defeated, although Garrett's style is to avoid them as much as possible. If you are referring to the re-incarnated skeletons in the caves, use water arrows to destroy them. The throwing knives come in very useful for some other creatures.

Well, I replayed the mission in T2. TG version is now redundant or is advantage before T2 conversion?
As for the author it seems like Sensut. The style very resembles Cryptic Realms that was also converted several times.

Clicking on the T2 link merely takes me to the T1 version. Are they the same? Doesn't New Dark use the same engine now for T1/Gold and T2?

There is a (
http://www.ttlg.com/forums/showthread.php?t=141472) separate thread for the T2 version, the minor differences are listed in the first post. Not sure how to answer your question about NewDark and how it relates to T1/TG/T2, but in this case there are two distinct mission zips.
