Thanks for this mission; I had a lot of fun with it - highly recommended!
It's got a good story with well-paced progression, some lovely attention to details, the challenge level is fair and never frustrating, both in terms of enemy placement and platforming. It also manages to do a good job of turning key-hunting into an actual fun side activity.
The only thing I think lets it down a little is that the streets and buildings are all built to a too-large scale, meaning things feel boxy, sparse and empty. It's much less of a problem when you get into the grimier areas of the mission like sewers and the old vault itself (which by the way is exactly what I would expect from a creepy underground Trickster temple!). So my only advice for future missions would be to try and build to a smaller footprint so that things feel smaller and more claustrophobic. Everything else is great!

Positive:
- Good concept with more than sufficient lore of that quarter
- Complex main quest, the main objectives being well-balanced. It only got a bit harder when you go for completing everything (which you should!).
- Attractive construction with some very memorable locations and "spatial navigation".
- Inventive: The key-ring is probably the best mechanism of its kind I've seen in a Thief mission (this alone shows how great this mission is!) and a couple of nice side quests.
- Some funny elements: (I chuckled when I read the diary on that particular balcony) or when considering that a certain faction rented a lockbox only to communicate with Garrett -- and that the key to this lockbox was the hardest one to get...
Negatives are nitpicks(!) only:
- My main thing is also that the buildings are a bit large, especially horizontally, often with few windows and sometimes not much happening in the first 3-4 meters above ground. Some parts of the quarter reminded me of a stronghold or rather one stronghold next to another - which is a bit unfitting when considering the history of the quarter.
This is where both Melan and Skacky still IMHO have - at least in their later masterpiece missions - a slight edge: Their locations are still a bit more "realistic", even though these - often incredibly high - buildings are anything but realistic.
- The streets could have used a bit more variety and some locations would profit from a bit more detail (example: stairs in the real world have a handrail - even in old castles, but especially in factories...).
- Because of the ambitious size of the quarter and the open streets I was running a lot more often than would've been fitting for a "thief", I think.
Matter of taste (without rating):
- The title is a bit too literal. I think it would've been better to surprise the player by naming the mission differently ("Deep Pockets" or something like that).
- I felt that the readables are sometimes a tad bit short, but I know some (many?) people like this so no objections from me.
Rating:
A terrific city mission: Highly enjoyable and absolutely recommended!
A clear progress from the earlier mission Lord Robert's Painting, which already was a good mission.
I'm willing to bet that it will enter many lists of favorite missions (I know that it will enter at least my list :cheeky:).

I'll give that a try

Thanks Vegetables,
3 hours of very enjoyable thieving.
the readables are interesting, the timed alarm thing was not a pain, keyring and journal are very good ideas.
one question about the keyring: instead of being a new inventory object, could it replace something from the usual inventory that's not being used in a particular mission, like a slowfall potion for example? cause that would also make it bindable

Happened to me too. It was the equipment store screen. I commented out the HDmod textures in my cammod.ini and that fixed it for me.
Cheers I deleted my HDMOD folder and it kicked in :D

I guess I skipped reading something, but does anyone know how to open the alarm power turn off sliding little door? I got the key to get in but it's covered. I can trip alarm to open it, but I don't want to do that. I found two silent alarm "off" switches, and so I thought hitting them both and quickly running down there will open the panel. Still nothing.

gamophyte:
You have to throw 3 levers: in each accounting room is one and one is in the head security office. Once switched all 3 levers within 1 Minute the objective will tick off. I think the little door in the power room opens only in case one of the guards triggers the alarm.

Thank you very much for this really nice little mission. It has so many clever details. It definitely goes into my favourites folder.
But I'm still missing 425 gold. Did I oversee an entire section?
I have found the Keeper's apartment and in concequence to this the hiddlen Keeper library. I have the gold fish. I have watered the poor apple tree in the greenhouse and got 2 golden apples. I've also found the secret room in the bank archives. I've completed all other objectives including 8 bank vault boxes.
Well, do you maybe have a lootist? I wonder where the rest of the loot could be.
Greetings, urumo
