thank you for the detailed explanation :thumb:, I'd already cleaned out the keeper vault but I'd forgotten the bucket
I got the fish from one fountain but the other fish won't frob, I tried picking it up in the bucket, it just swam away taking the bucket with it :laff:

... econds, and get the vessel out again. It should have a new description since it's full now.
The rest is not too difficult to guess: You have to take the water to the greenhouse high up in the house to the northwest of Bronson's. You can go into Fitzgerald's first, then climb out of a window to the west and onto Bronson's balcony, travel through Bronson's house to the northern wall of it, and get out through an open window to the north. Make your way across the stone bridge there. Climb into the window on the other side, ascend the stairs in the adjacent room and climb onto the elevated central part of the room containing one large and one small tree.
: Are you sure your dirrections are right??, maybe me being on expert changes this
.. I have all objectives done or checked except I never alerted guards and I haven't made my way back to start, I seen there was ppl here to took the bucket of waterto water tree and get golden apples.
So I have this bucket of water. I went the way you said west side of Fitzgarald's home window, to outisde to a walled Balcony, I manteled over to, went inside to a north window.. There are two of them one half claosed, the other all the way open.. I went out accross stone bridge into the other window..
Lord and behold there in no doors to open inside or stairs. The only door there is completely unfrobable.
another broken mission.

No, actually it's all my fault. And the mission is not broken either.
You most liklely are in a room with a stone pedestal inside just below the window, a couch before the eastern wall next to an unopenable door with some trophy mounted above it. In the west part of the room, there are a table, a painting on the wall, and two bookcases on either side of the table.
The bookcase on the right side, in the northwest corner of the room, is a secret door that can only be opened from the other side. Unfortunately, when I wrote my directions, I had forgotten that I had opened that secret passage shortly after the mission began. For you, this door is closed.
You have to get back down to the streets, through Bronsons house, and into the street which leads to the starting point of the mission. High up on the southern facades, there should be
a small part of wood next to a stone bridge. Place a rope arrow in there and climb up. Retrieve your arrow, then cross the stone bridge. Shoot the rope arrow into the wooden windowsill just below the window at the north end of the stone bridge. Climb up, open the shutters, and climb inside. Make your way through the rooms there, and you should first reach the spot where there are two small trees in a room. This is the gardener's greenhouse. A book and a water arrow should be near the eastern tree, while the western one has two healing fruits. Get them if you want, but your main target is the other tree. It must be
watered with the bucket filled with the special water, and then it should yield two golden apples.
If you leave the room through the other door and look around there, you should find the stairs I described in my former post, and a switch at the lower end of the stairway. The switch opens the secret door that is "masked" as a bookcase.

swim around with a water bucket larger than the fish itself as being "special" as well:cheeky:).

Thanks, I got the gold apples.:D
Now there is a window with a guy snorring, I see a key on his nightstand, I have 12 keys on a keyring, still can't get in there. I know I'm missing something..

I had a great time with this FM, completed it on expert, but I missed two deposit keys and by reading the comments, I found out I missed the Keepers place completely as well lol

Just played this one. Really great! I enjoyed it a lot.
Bonus pun points for the goldfish and the waiting room (and others I probably missed)! :D
I started to complain about the keyring, because although convenient for unlocking doors, it prevents me from keeping track of which keys I've found and which I haven't yet. But then I remembered the list of keys in the book: a superb idea! Also delighted by how the paintings left behind empty frames and appeared in my inventory rolled up. A meaningless detail for gameplay, but a lovely bit of polish nonetheless.

Hey, I'm not sure why this is, but this fan mission has a weird amount of "lagging" for me? Like, the kinds of issues you'd normally associate with refresh rate and/or vsync, but ONLY for this mission.
I've tested both the base game and another FM--it's just THIS one that does this. Any idea why that might be happening?
EDIT: Disabled NecroAge (probably should've done that sooner) because I missed that part of the readme. Immediately fixed. Who know how many FM problems could be fixed with reading comprehension?

At one point, I experienced delay between sound effects and actions in the game world when playing Down in the Old Vault. This occasionally happens to me in other Thief fan missions as well. I can always resolve this by restarting the game. Not sure of this is comparable to your issue, MarcusFlintlock.
Finished on Normal in 1 hour and 21 minutes. I did not explore the whole map and was satisfied with just 1895 of 3850 total loot. This is a great mission with a creative setting: a bank build atop a Pagan temple. There are lots of opportunities to take the thieves' highway to climb into buildings that otherwise would not be accessible. I loved how you can pilfer keys from the City to later use them in the vault. In Mossgate bank, there are some really nicely designed rooms. Use of ambient music was perfect; I think I even heard a new piece on the 2nd floor of Mossgate bank. The keyring and the book with notes on keys you have found are implemented well. I prefer this to having to cycle through keys in the inventory. The maps are professionally made and really helpful. The only thing missing was automap. Lastly, I appreciate there is a small plot twist in the mission. Too few missions change objectives over the course of a playthrough.
Areas for improvement are the outside areas. The streets are decidedly less interesting than the rest of the mission: flat and empty. Some buildings that are not relevant for the plot also did not receive as much attention. For example, Nichols' felt rushed.
I found a note to "Madame C." about her cult. I think is a reference to Calendra. There was also a spiral staircase in a certain hidden area that reminded me of Calendra's Cistern.
