Azaran, you need to follow the steps exactly. You have to select the FM in Darkloader at least once, so it shows the T2 gear icon next to the title, and close Darkloader in order for darkwalls to appear at the end of the .ini file. Then just follow the next steps and it should work. You can always launch the FM from the built-in FMSel if that still doesn't work..
Yeah I had to use FMSel. I followed the steps, but it didn't show up in the ini file. Thanks.

I also couldn't get Darkloader to run the mission even after following the steps that were posted. Like Gloria, I just got the first mission of TG but it worked fine with the new mission loader included in the patch.

This has to be considered a classic. I did run into an issue of getting the mission to end. I restarted the mission just to make sure I was in the right spot.
When I reloaded my save and went to "the start" the mission ended a little distance from expected and the objective didn't tick off. I could have cried when I completed it because I didn't want it to end.
More please more!!!

In the Bride's room of the manor you've got to get into, there are two plinths which sink when weighted down. I've got a sleeping person on each. What is this supposed to open.

rastas, at first this was a bug, but I have decided to leave it that way so people would think they actually do something. They don't. :p

There's a third one later on, but the same applies there, nothing happens.

Yeah this is pretty weird, I have absolutely no idea what's responsible for this. I'm sure the object isn't corrupt, and I have a vanilla install of TG+New Dark and it works perfectly on it. Do the open curtains also appear like this, or just the closed-ones in the Psychic's shop? (I've used open curtains in a more or less hard-to-reach location).
I doubt changing your FM loader to Garrettloader or FMSel might change anything, but could you possibly give it a try just to see if that makes a difference? If that doesn't bother you, of course.
Yes, both the open and closed curtains do this. No sign of other models having this problem though. Tried the mission via FMSel and the same thing happens. Very wierd indeed... Not a big deal breaker though, but it is kind of a shame if it were to happen with other NewDark missions too.

skacky: This is a MASTERPIECE!!
Dammit! I'm getting upset and jealous that I can't play this one, lol. :p
I'm using DL and all other TG fan missions load properly... but not this one.
I have followed the earlier instructions, but to no avail.
Perhaps I'll suss out what the problem is eventually. I'm sure the problem is me and my lack of technical know-how. :o

Play report: I think everyone owes it to him- or herself to play this mission. In terms of pure rooftop gameplay, it is one of the best FMs out there, and exactly the kind of mission whose lack made me start editing in the first time. The visual style and sound design are great, filling the environment with dark wonder. Maybe the relative lack of readables is a weak point, but really, with such an exquisite realisation of the City, that's not a negative mark.
I have been what seems like everywhere, but am still missing about 500 loot. Will have to replay it later. :D

Thanks a ton Melan, but hey, the mission does have 29 readables total, which I think is a good amount. :p
Granted, it did have three or four more before, but these didn't make the cut. I don't want to put too many readables in my missions and I'm the kind of players who really tend to dislike having to read too much.
thiefessa: Try launching the FM from FMSel or Garrettloader. I've written a setup guide for FMSel at the top of page 2.
