I checked and the Larloch Society is indeed from the
Calendra series. Larloch is apparently (
https://forgottenrealms.fandom.com/wiki/Larloch) a Dungeons & Dragons character.
In 2011, I read The Doom that Came to Sarnath. I knew that name sounded familiar. Thank you!

Yeah, and many RPG fans (both the pen and paper version, and in games like Baldur's Gate) are familiar with the level 1 Necromancy spell Larloch's Minor Drain. It has a fast casting time, fires a bolt of magic damage that always hits the target. It deals 1d4 damage that is given to the caster. If this takes the caster's hit points above their maximum, the surplus acts as bonus HPs that disappear after a while.

Loot is done. Explored the rooftops, sewers.. in which the said Hammerite Key does not open either of the 2 closed doors there, including what I think is the wine cellar. Haven't found any secret hatches. No idea where to go.. has been fun so far, but gutted now and lost.
:(

There are three ways into Messer Beric's house. One is from the sewers, but my notes about the mission don't state anything else than that one can enter from the sewers.
The other way in is from the outside. There's a walkway high up where an archer patrols. At one end of this walkway, there is an open window between two statues on an adjacent building. A piece of wood begs for a rope arrow. The best place from where to shoot it seems to be on one of the statues' sockets.
The third way into the house must be from the streets. The front door can be opened with the lockpicks, my notes say.
Once inside, search the house and take whatever you can get. A "Basement study key" and a "Wine cellar key" should fall into your lap. There's also a socket which goes down if one places a weight on it, but it does not appear to have any function.

Thief gold with a thief´s highway, that´s a nice combination! Really liked it! :)
Now onto the sequel.

I really loved the architecture. Not only this part of the city was not flat but building were massive.
One more thing though... Do these three pedestals that can be pressed with unconscious bodies do anything or it is just a red herring?
baeuchlein on 27/6/2021 at 02:04
I have found no uses for any of these pedestals. I guess they're either the colored fish you mentioned, or they were not even meant to have that property. Maybe it's a DromEd standard that these pedestals can be lowered, and the author did not remove that property by accident.

Some of the AI in this mission seem to have the texture for the front of their body on the back of their body, and vice versa. I've seen it in a few other FMs too, but only in T1 and TG I think. Is there a way of fixing this please?

Check whether there is a line saying "
character detail 0" in your
cam.cfg file in the NewDark main folder. If the line is in there, change it to "
character detail 1" and continue playing.
If this is not the case, or if changing the line doesn't help, report the problem in the (
