You work for Microsoft? That answer is entirely accurate and completely useless at the same time.
I ended up finding it - I mistook the window I needed to go into with one I'd already been in... I even went in it, went "Yeah, already been here" and turned around and left without going into the next room... Silly me.
Also got me up into the
caged area near the spy which was nice.

I have found a "Hammerite Key" but I have not found anywhere to use it. Any hints?

Sincere apologies if I'm out of date, but was it ever discovered why a few of us cannot load this mission?
Yes, I tried the suggested tweaks but still no luck. Crash to desktop every time. This is the only mission I can't play... I'm a sad taffer. :(

Have you tried loading it using an alternate mission loader like Garrettloader or FMSel? (I'm guessing you're using Darkloader).

Fm-Seletor is a must to properly play the NewDark T1/Tg mission. It is a breeze to install and cuts down loading time next to zero. Dark Loader does nothing more than mess up the directories, enabling a tg mission to play under Thief 2 resources.
