This
iron mask is located in completely different place, nowhere close to
inscriptionI think
that's where it is normally kept. Remember the Vizier took it from the Supraward - that's where it was taken from.

Iron Facade really is. From some readables I understood it may be a person (
like 8 years old kid with Divine Eyes), from other - maybe some item or something else. It was very mysterious what it will be. I was expecting something surprising. That's why I had no problem to make wrong assumption that I need to somehow steal fireplace. I mean, look, there is so many crazy FMs and in some of them tree, chair, bed or window count as loot.

A TG mission. Woooooo!
I took a hiatus from Thief to play old FPS (playing Sin Gold right now and Half-life is in the queue ), but tonight I will be playing this mission.
Thanks DirkBogan. Finding a new TG mission is a real treat.

Use lockpicks, Luke! There was a scroll somewhere that noted that the second lock is too primitive and old and must be changed. That applied to the first lock. Second cannot be picked, at least on expert.
Edit: Finally found
the 2nd key and got the skull; thanks Galaer.
Is there any way to
get into either of the children's rooms?

Finished in 4h04 , 5259/5800.
one remark : it's a little weird to see all the facades of the buildings enlightened with an omnilight centered in the map, would have been great to use a full moon to enlight all the valey, but maybe the valley would have been too dark.
Thanks for this materpiece which deserve 10/10 \o/

I'm gobsmacked! You should be proud of this mission.

This one was really fun. The setting was great, and I appreciated how the readables foreshadowed the eventual reveal of what had happened.

What a fantastic mission!
I'm playing on Expert. I wasn't a fan of the readables, the story seemed interesting but I found the language over-florid and opaque, and that made me lose interest in following the story too closely. But everything else was spectacular.
I'm now on my way down. I can recall a couple of areas I couldn't get into on my way up. Are they accessible?
1) In the exhibition area, there is a room with what looks like a statue of a child behind a grate. I think Radogal was referring to this in post 8 of this thread, but I don't think I've seen a reply.
2) In an attic area, there is a room with a cross shaped gap covered by bars behind which you can see someone sleeping in a another room, which has green wallpaper. There's a grate in the room, but it doesn't seem to open.
Thanks in advance.

You can't get into any of these two rooms, but they do have some significance.
