I wonder if there are any known ways to achieve the following in Thief Gold.
1) Give goal notification sounds when an objective is completed, not just if a new objective is added.
2) Stop inventory items deselecting. I'm talking about the times you ready a mine or a flashbomb then when it comes time to deploy them nothing happens because the wait was too long and they deselected.
3) (less important) When you hold up an inventory item in front of you, such as a key or a lockpick, I'd quite like the text to not show underneath the item while it is in the centre of the screen.
Any known mods or settings to achieve any of these? Thanks.

2) In dark.cfg there's an inv_item_timeout value. It's in milliseconds.

1) Thanks voodoo47, will be useful.
2) That's just what I wanted. And setting it to 0 seems to disable auto-deselect altogether, so just what I wanted. Thanks R Soul.
3) Oh well, not that important really.
