So I did a clean install of Thief 2 (using the latest Tafferpatcher & 1.24) in an attempt to remedy the issue I had with custom textures not showing up. Well, it solved that problem, but now some object textures are messed up. Some candlesticks show up as white, blue keys are grey, and my blackjack is different. All I installed extra were the enhanced skies and water, so I have a feeling TP messed something up. Anyone else have this problem?

Do you have this line in dark.cfg?
ObjTextures16

Yeah it's there
Code:
; Control of the object UI

;highlight_level 23
ObjTextures16vismeter_zoom 60 ; zoom vis meter in
hpbar_zoom 60 ; zoom hp bar in
inv_status_margin -0.008
inv_model_zoom 10.0

An object is looking for a texture that is missing. That could be it.
Do you have texture chand3 or the equivalent for candlestick object.
If an object has a texture missing, I think you see a white model instead.

Ok so there is a new folder, patchedres, but it doesn't have that texture. I deleted it, and the candlestick texture is back to normal. Blue keys are still grey though...

If I remember correctly blue keys were supposed to be grey, but were blue due to a palette error.

Oh wow OK...I guess that explains it. Thanks

yeah - and NewDark fixes the palette problem, so the (brass) keys are not blue anymore. I've got a purist crying over that in the TFix topic every once in a while, and while I probably could re-break it, I certainly don't plan to.
the slimmer blackjack is part of the updated resource pack. white candlesticks are a genuine issue, almost sure something wrong with the resources, but hard to tell without additional info.

The keys aren't really a problem, it's just I was playing one FM where you need to locate a blue key in a small sandy area, and it took me like 10 minutes of scouring before finding it
