OP:
Quote:
Teach them how government taxation can harm economic growth
Ironically enough, Texas is one of the economically healthiest states in the US and one with some of the lowest taxes. Somewhere I need to dig up a recent demographic analysis that shows Texas as one of the leading states with both an inflow of foreign and domestic immigrants as well. A healthy dose of low taxes can be great, and high taxes can definitely be harmful to growth.
So, in other words, I can jive with the OP's remarks on some stupid Texas syllabus thingy that I honestly have never heard of nor know anything about, but government taxes can harm economic growth just as unrestrained freedom can harm it as well.
The answer to the multiple choice question in the OP is therefore: A,B, and D.
Yes I'm from Texas, and I can attest (as I'm sure BrokenArts can too and did above) that the silly reactionary portrait of Texas in the media is outdated and obsolete. I think this kind of dumbshittery that the BBC points to is an epidemic across the entire US, not some kind of Texas phenomenon.

Hey hey this is your bullshit don't you try to wipe that on everyone else.
I mean in 3-4 months when California is in the grips (lol) of yet another crippling budget meltdown, we'll own it, but this one is yours
