I've been thinking about trying to get hold of a copy of Arena, as I'd really like to play the first ever Elder Scrolls game....does anyone know i) where I can get a copy ii) if there is any chance of getting it to run on XP and iii) is it worth playing after Daggerfall and (especially) Morrowind, or will it just be a disappointment.......
I'd love to hear opinions from other people who have played Arena. Thanks!

Cant say anything about there where, but i would make the following order:
Morrowind - nothing - Arena - very very very long nothing - Dagerfall. For me Arena was even better than Daggerfall. The Dungeons where to much of a random and the massive amount of bugs made it unplayable for me (the oppenents were allways invisible)
About Arena and XP. Gee, never trained it, but i would guess NO. Most of this old DosGames are a terror to install - and iirc, i read somewhere that it is not possible. But what about a dualboot win98/XP? XP uses a great amount of mem.
ps:
found a link - perhaps you have some luck
look down under "The Elder Scrolls: Arena"

Well, to me Daggerfall was far better than Arena, until I noticed how full of bugs Daggerfall was (therefore the famous "Buggerfall" :) ). Obviously Arena did also have its own bugs (for instance quest like "go and kill Mr X in Y dungeon"...It happend to me that I went there and instead of Mr X I found... an Ice Golem at the end of the dungeon... and I searched the dungeon thoroughly a few times for Mr X and didn't find him. Well such things happend to many people)
Nevertheless I wouldn't spend to much time with Arena now since I have Morrowind.
It's not just because Morrowind has great graphic. Arena's world compared to Morrowind's is terribly boring (every city does not differ too much from other cities).
Arena is the first part and it had been great at that times before Daggerfall and Morrowind came up. When it comes to my opinion, it's really not worthy of your time nowadays.
