Is there any way to extract them from the game, or are they available anywhere (like the midi soundtrack) ?
The railgun whine is just too legendary to pass :)

Not that I know of. The midi files were sent by LGT themselves, rather than being extracted by a 3rd party, so I don't know whether anyone has ever attempted extracting the audio data like this.
The SOUND directory on the CD contains a bunch of .MDI and .DIG files for each supported sound card. One presumes that the former is the music and the latter is what you're after, but who knows what format they're in? (Certainly not anything remotely like .wav samples -- most of the .DIG files are a mere 3K in size, so they must be something more analogous to the midi music instructions, I would think.)

I guess I'll have to hook up the other computer to the one that runs TN and do some recording with the battle creator :ebil:
It's a shame that most modern computers are too sucky to run Terra Nova. Much like what happened with Dune 2.

Well you can get the original sound files by using a hex editor and extracting all the old Sound Blaster 8 bit voc files. You can then use a voc2wav converter. I've done it already, it's easy but time consuming by hand. I should just write an extractor..... :)
