Terminator to Bond to Aliens.... back to Terminator??

I'm totally imagining here as it's not supported by anything, but maybe it's not a fluke nor a coincidence... Ripley is also carrying a queen. It is possible that depending on the initial host's condition, the alien embryo evolves into a queen. Most of the alien drones were born from hosts that were immobilized and sedated, whereas both Ripey and the initial host were"fine" and walked around doing their stuff... It could be that any first infectation is destined to be a queen as this will ensure the birth of an alien colony.
Of course, this theory fall apart at the mention of the doglien, which is obviously not a queen, however it could be argued that since both eggs originally came from the Sulaco it "sensed" that a queen was already evolving in Ripley. (I got no such cop-out for Kane though, that's why I'm probably totally wrong)
There was analogy with bees, every larva has potential for development into queen, but for that it needs intense care and nutrition from the drones. When it develops into queen, new hive can be formed. There is nothing such as 'queen embryo'. This could work reliably if Aliens was the only source, but apparently the impregnation of Ripley with alien queen in A3 disrupts this theory. I still wonder how she managed to come to conclusion that the embryo in her chest is a future queen, on the scanner display - that's weak. If it wasn't for Resurrection we could safely assume it's just an ordinary drone/warrior like all others.
Since the marines found more dead facehugger specimen in the Med Lab, it's fair to assume that more colonists dared to explore the derelict ship and came back infected.
However in a scene in A3 assembly cut, a convict finds a Super-Facehugger near dead ox. This means the ox had to carry the Queen embryo, but instead it gives birth to a new type of warrior (incredible species, it can develop even in a dead, decaying organism...).
And also a deleted scene from Alien, reappearing in Director's Cut, shows that mature drone can make cocoons from people. There was a foggy idea (in H.R. Giger's weird brain) that these people will transform into facehuggers in the cocoons.
Scots : In time. :cheeky:

If I remember correctly, the embryo as shown on the scanner has the weird head ridges, these bony outgrowths, unique to the Queen.

Did you know that the first draft for Terminator was a (

Oh ... My .... God....!!!
Regardless of how good of an actor Bale is there was absolutely NO excuse for his tirade. Talk about a prima dona! But from what I've been reading this isn't the first time Bale's lashed out like that. (

The DP made a mistake (okay, so he made it twice, according to Bale); but Bale's outburst was over the top. Sounds to me like the actor needs to take some anger management courses.

Without being able to see the people involved it really sounded like the guy didn't understand, and didn't care. I would hope there was a misunderstanding. No one should be moving around the set without it being part of the choreography/blocking necessary to create the scene. Again, without seeing what happened, I'm on Bale's side, though not defending how far he took it, but only if the guy really was as oblivious to the process as Bale made him out to be, which meant it was a serious waste of time, energy, and money. To be "in the zone" and have someone carelessly interrupt the flow can just kill the moment. I'd be really pissed too, but I would never go off like that unless the guy really was that callous.

I guess I heard it a little differently (I could be wrong). It sounded to me like the PD was trying to placate Bale, who refused to be placated. There were some bits in there where I couldn't understand what the PD was saying, however.
You're right jtr; it was seriously unprofessional for the DP to get in the way like that, especially twice. But Bale's outburst was even more unprofessional.
Imho, of course.

Okay, let's put it in perspective, we could be dealing with Bale, who's pulling a 12 hour day, he's trying to close out (say) a difficult scene that's a minute or two in length, fully in character, he's worn out, exhausted, and this DP stumbles into the scene twice in a row and fucks everything up.
Acting all too often gets noted as a cushy gig, but this could be 5pm after a 5am wake-up, he's drained, trying to maintain interest and talent while doing the same shit over and over again because of someone who isn't taking due care. I'm not saying he's a bastion of professionalism here, but I hear an extremely tired and frustrated guy on the recording here - and it's worth noting this recording does not cover the nature of the scene, the nature of how the DP fucked it up (not once, but twice) and all the other shit that factors into people having a mini-meltdown.
Of course, it could also be that the DP has had a similarly long day and isn't getting recompensed anywhere near Bale, but that's why the producer or director should have stepped in and said: enough's enough, mistakes are mistakes, let's roll. It went on a little too long, but people judging either party as guilty or spoiled or whatever from this are being shortsighted and reactionary.
That said, it was an epic flame.
