I just watched T2 for the first time, and I realized that for the early part of the movie, one who had seen T1 might assume that Schwarzenegger is the bad-robot and the other one is the good-robot.
My wife was lucky enough to watch it completely fresh and when it became clear that Schwarzenegger was the good one she was all "WTF?". :cheeky:

I just saw it, and it was ok. Had some pretty solid boom in the first hour or so, and the design of the new bots is decent (Love the redesigned aircraft), BUT suffers from severe brain-in-rectum on several fronts. Why the fuck does the evil supercomputer robot lair have screens everywhere? Does an evil robot need to look at a screen to know its unlocking a door? and fucking BUTTONS - because robots in constant remote control via some kind of super wifi need to actually push a goddamn button to turn the lights on. Why do they even
have lights? (Mind you, why do they have teeth? Always wondered that. Would one bite you if you removed all of its other means of offense?)

That bit got me too. They just spent the previous 30 seconds establishing that they don't know where
command is, so Bale just jumps into the ocean and OMG COMMAND SUB comes right by.These are error of the fiction, when they have opaque (and often ignorant in topic) directors.
Other than the humanoid Skynet's robots, that in my opinion it has no sense, there's the complete reconstruction of Marcus Wright without a scar, when he come back to the Skynet's base.
This is the power of democracy: the dumbs can make movies too, it's just enough they have moneys to do it, robbing the place to a real good director moneyless..

surface for fear of giving away
exact coordinates and being immobile long enough to bring Connor aboard.

Because they are all infiltration units. I've seen this question all over the net. The T600 is still an infiltration unit but, if you remember what Reese says in T1, they had rubber skin and were easy to spot. It's fair to surmise that T4 takes place at the point where Skynet has decided that the T600 is a bit naff and it needs something new - the T800 Arnie model with real organic covering.

I suppose thats a good enough excuse to realise Cameron's original 'chrome-dipped grim reaper' design brief. But shouldn't the teeth be white?
Also - an infiltration unit with a minigun welded to its forearm? It looks like the Makron. I wouldn't go anywhere NEAR it.

They've lost their coating, just like the whole unit has lost its skin. They don't all have miniguns - the T600s that feature in the initial attack don't have them. The concepts of the Terminator models were very poorly fleshed out in T4 overall though, with little explanation about things and solid knowledge of T1 and 2 (forget 3) needed to understand lots of things fully. The hunter killers were great though, and the moto terminators were pretty cool too.

Sincerely I've never seen a robot there with the minigun welded, they just brought it, but maybe I could be wrong.
Here I found some explications to my questions, I hope you will find it useful.

There's always psychological warfare to consider too, I guess.
What would you prefer to fight, an army of grinning robot skeletons, or an army of waddling fat "DANGER DANGER WILL ROBINSON" robots, or similar?
Vivian on 15/6/2009 at 13:28
Yeah, I was just thinking 'looks scary as hell' is probably a very positive attribute to a killer robot. Massimiliangogi - the guns described as 'hardmounted' on all the blurb, which could mean bolted on, I guess. Either way its stuck to the things arm.
... did I mention that they have a USB port as well? Basically McG seems to think he's tech-savvy because he has an ipod.
