Did every job they have, except the one with the relict that is somewhere in DagotUr. They already tell me, that only that guy in HighFane (T. S.) can promote me to this. But the door there is locked and when i use a unlock-spell. i get expelled. And even after telling "i will be a good boy" he just states "what can i do for you master(?)".
How do i get to him legally ? How to get the promotion ?
Just in case: I didn´t even start the main quest !!
Thx

I forget precisely where the 2nd is, but I know that the Patriarch's chambers has two entrances... one of them being from within the main building, with noone around to say 'boo' if you pick it. Alternately, if you can pick locks you can always try a good camoflage spell effect and then picking the lock.

We're talking the Archcanon here, right? The one in the left wing of the High Fane, door opposide the door to the outside?
If yes, then you get given keys to his room. Twice. IIRC, one source of keys is when you get a quest to persuade him to 'control the ordinators'. This one is from one of the people in Ebonheart: either Duke V. Dren himself (in which case it's sth to do with promotion in Hlaalu) or the Imperial Legion bod with the enchanted armour next to him. I cannot remember precisely which one.
The other source of keys is, I think, within the High Fane itself, and (again, IIRC) you get them when you ask the person who gives you the temple quests there (middle room, High Fane) for advancement. He says that he cannot advance you further and says the archcanon wants to see you.
I think you have to ask the archcanon about advancement, anyway.
HTH, and apologies if this is not 100% accurate.

Both are right, it is the this special guy and there are to ways in.
@Ania: Well, i DID ask the questgiver of temple who is standing in front of that door. But when i ask about advancement, he just says that only T.S. can do that. (I mean this Archcanon) But he doesnt tell me, that he wants to see me, nor am i given any key.
The other source is not in question, cause i want to go with the telvani. (and i bet i have to be "invited" or there will always be this "the crime has been reported" thing.
Do i have to do EVERY quest ? Even the one where i have to retrieve the artifact from DagothUr ?
BTW: If i break in, make the amends and than ask about duties, he gives me one. But i want to get in without doing a crime.

Hmm... is it safe to assume that you can't pick that lock, then? I pick it every time, long before I get the key to the room, and all I do to avoid being seen is sneak (granted, a high-level sneak, but still just sneak). In other words, opening that door w/out the key and w/out being caught is quite possible. I've got a hunch that the 'open' spell is a bit flashy-flashy though, and thats how you're being seen.
Regardless, what happens when you try 'open'ing the other door? It doesn't nail you, does it?

Well, actually never tried the second door, cause i thought "when everybody tells me, that that guy inside can promote me, why should i not stomp in like an elephant"
On the other hand, i cant do a sneak with only having it at about 15 or so. Will see what can be done about that. (But its not in my role)
Well, if i did every quest, i should get an invitation from that guy. Hell, im greater than he is, have more cash, more prestige, more weapon, more armor, more power, more of everything and im obviously much more humble than he is. :p

You can forget it.
I clicked on "duties" and suddenly the questgiver in HighFane said i should come in and gave me some key.
But im absolutely sure that i clicked on that for a 100 times. Mhh. Mysteries over mysteries.
