In room 22 I fought a ghost man and I took off a ring of misery. I went throught the mirror to the next room which has a gray button to open a door on the left side. I can not get through this one. I try the door on the right side and I still can not get through. I used the RPG Dots Guide. Can someone help me get to the next area?

The guide you have is the same one I used and it worked for me. Make sure you are patched to 1.17 and if you are, try a previous save and run through it again as it might be a bug.

just in case you're still trying to solve this;

are you are trying to walk through the wall where the (http://arx.rpgdot.com/index.php?hsaction=10062&game=arx&l1=Maps&infoID=119) switch effect arrow is pointing? or somewhere else?

It could be a bug, and if you are sure you are following the guide correctly try loading an earlier save game and seeing if that doesn't fix the problem when you get back to this room.
