first of all: yes i've used the search button :)
now my question.
I'm working on the main quest (fourth trial i think) to become hortator of all the 3 great houses.
i already succeeded with hlaalu and redoran, but the telvanni are taking longer than expected because of their insane towers :)
anyway, i get to ald sorta or whats it called (sorry) and talk to the coucillor (Gothar or something)
he says he'll take it into consideration, after a while i get back to him and he says he's sure he doesn't want me.
up comes a journal input 'it was difficult, but i pursuaded Gothar(?) that i can't be a hortator" or something like that... what the hell?
i tought the point was to become a hortator, maybe it was a quest to let him decline my status as hortator, if so i never saw any mention of it, did i miss something?

Actually, I believe the journal entry is more of a "well, you persuaded him to at least be honest that he'll never vote for you" kind of thing. Kill him, and anyone else who won't vote for you to be Hortator (you should be able to Persuade all the others though) and then talk to Aryon (don't kill Aryon until after you get Hortator, and even then don't if you're Telvanni [well, not until you master 'em at least]).

ah yes, the point where i went wrong in my game. now im stuck doing the alternate main quest..(dumb aryon couldnt tell me he was needed for the quest;) )Anyways just listen to forsythe and youll be fine:cheeky:

Btw, Magicka, there is a way to resurrect any character and undo any NPC's death, even on the XBox... all you have to do is send me US$50,000 and mail me your savegame :ebil:
