Nah... worst case is you get kicked out; if that happens, talk to Aryon (or most other councilors or any Mouth) and you'll be reinstated if you pretend you want to 'make amends'. Being reinstated with the Telvanni is merely a formality.

Just be carefull about who you kill and which faction they are joined to. You can also obtain the highest ranking in a faction and then get expelled for killing members of your own family. Sometimes you can get out of those situations and sometimes not. I've been kicked out of all 8 of my factions in 5 minutes with my evil death shield by simply wiping out everyone in Balmora (inside and out). :cheeky: Of course I didn't do a save after the event, I just wanted to see how fast I could kill'em all. :cheeky: Got the death warrent too! It helps that my character in virtually indestructable. I enchanted some pants and chaps with restore health & restore fatigue so that even with a hlaala guard beating me with a sword....no harm comes to me at all. *ranting*:eww:

Nah, in the context of the question as originally stated, caution is irrelevant. The only Telvanni you're sent after are non-vital to any quests (well, one friendly cat lady wants a robe from a MT writ-victim, but that's it), and even if you somehow get nailed for attacking them you can get back in with zero trouble.
