I have achieved the level of Master in the Great House Telvani, but when I ask Aryon about "advancment" he says that I have forsaken the title of "Magister". Did I do something wrong that makes it impossible to reach Archmagister in my house??

Someone asked this very same question just a couple of weeks ago; go back through the messges on this forum till you find the one titled "Forsworn the title of Magister?"
I'd post the hyperlink but it never, ever works when I do that :grr:

It's a known bug; if you're on an XBox, you're hosed. If you're on a PC, get the patch. It's been discussed to death on here, so forgive me if I don't describe it in fine detail, but basically he will auto-promote you at certain points, and he also doesn't warn you about Master vs. Magister when you hit 'advancement'.
