this spell confuses me. sure, I can grab things from farther away at higher levels, but can I ever do anything useful with it in combat? like hurl bigger objects at enemies a la gravity gun? it has a "throw" option, but all I can ever throw are things like berries and books, which don't do damage. is this one strictly for getting things in hard-to-reach places?

as far as i know (this was true in Morrowind), telekenisis was made to grab things froma distance. I believe you can open chests and such with it.

Sounds like a spell good for a theif, if you want to manipulate objects without being seen or getting to close.

Nope. In
Oblivion you just use it to move stuff around. It's handy for grabbing stuff that's out of reach. If you want to steal something, Telekinesis can be used to move it first to a place where you won't be seen taking it.

I use this spell all the time. If your in shops or especially palaces, use the spell to get really valuable items into dark corners and then steal them...people and guards never notice!!! THIS SPELL IS HELPFUL WHEN TRYING TO GET YOUR FENCING MONEY UP IN THE THIEVES GUILD!!!

The easiest way to get your fencing money up is to loot all the stores in the Imperial City Marketplace. You come out with around 2,500 gold--all you need.
