Instead let's kill everyone who calls an MP3 player an MP3. Can't tolerate that kind of willfulness.

I'm not going to waste my time searching the forums for this one, but he has used almost EXACTLY those words to whine about me in other threads.
So exactly why do you care?
On the one hand, sulfur is correct in that its an utterly stupid fight.
However, its also pretty amusing to watch two hypersensitive twats who get off on a combination of misperceived and nonexistent slights and their misguided sense of indignation go off on each other.

OT, I don't really mind it when people are completely ignorant about whatever techno-stuff.
What I do mind is trying to teach them something, only to have them forget all about it a week later, again and again. I mean, it's fine if you find it hard to remember how to copy the pictures from your camera to the PC, even after I've simplified the process a bit by adding shortcuts to the Send To menu and shortcuts to the relevant folders on the desktop. But if you still forget how to do it after me having explained it three times in the last three months, how about you pull out a notepad and write the steps down, so you don't forget it a fourth time?

So that eventually he gives up and stops. Fruitless hope, I know, but I can dream.
Besides, bringing it to everyone's attention that he can't help but comment on me even when I'm not involved is worth
something.

But that's pouring even more fuel on the fire, and borderline attention-whoring at best, and you're too smart not to know it. You'd be wiser to just shut the fuck up and let it slide.
Kolya on 27/12/2009 at 23:07
RBJ, I wasn't even thinking of you when I wrote that comment, okay?
You're not te only person I've ever met, who acted superior for knowing something somebody else doesn't. I developed my opinion on this sort of behaviour before I ever met you. By the way, that's how I divide my life: The time before RBJ and the time after. Just kidding, chill mate.

I'm sure it was just a coincidence.
I'm also sure that such "coincidences" won't happen in the future, correct?
Kolya on 27/12/2009 at 23:30
If I ever want to talk with you or about you, I will either name or quote you.

FWIW, when I read Kolya's post I recognised the kind of people and the kind of attitude he was referring to from RL experiences of my own, and did not see it as a jab towards anyone in particular - much less on subjects not pertaining to computer geeks. Sometimes a coincidence is really just that.
